I guess college can be thought provoking. In my reading of the textbook, my mind was wondering because the text is boring. Anyway, I wondered if other religions have as many differences of opinions as Christianity does. This is probably a stupid question and a question anyway.

There are several different "traditions" within Wicca, each with its own teachings, practices, and lineage. Some of the more common traditions include:

Alexandrian Wicca
Blue Star Wicca
Correllian Wicca
Dianic (Feminist) Wicca
Faery Wicca
Gardnerian Wicca
Kemetic Wicca
Odyssean Wicca
Seax-Wica
Christian Wicca
Wiccan Atheism

In addition to these there are also countless solitary or eclectic Wiccans with their own individual traditions and practices.

About the only things all the divisions or "traditions" have in common would be the Wiccan Rede (Law) which states: An it harm none, so as you will. And that all Wiccans honor and respect the Earth because Wicca is an Earth-based religion.

Check out the religions of India. Over FOUR THOUSAND. Most of them some version of Hindu, and of course you have Bahai, Taoism, Buddism, confusiousism, and a whole bunch of other isms.... If you look at the situation in Iraq, you have Sunni vs Shiite, both Muslim. those are the two most prominant sects. They argue over who is the rightful caliph, I cant remember exactly who is it supposed to be, a cousin or uncle of Mohummed.Just think if all the differant Christian sects in the states solved their problems by blowing each other up, or take care of non believers by flying planes into buildings?
There are also many differant Jewish sects, Yiddish Jews and Orthodox Jews are two that i know of, there are many more.
Sometimes fringe church groups in the states are counted as Christian when they are not mainstream. Scientology, and christian science are two, then you have mormonism, and Jehovahs Witness that claim to be Christian, but i would question that. there are many other 'cult' groups out there. mainstream christianity would consider a 'cult' any church that denies the diety of Christ. While you see a church on every corner in the states, many 'agree to disagree' to avoid conflict, and much of this is more over church tradition than the Biblical doctrine. I have property in the deep south 'Bible belt', and every year for thanksgiving we have a gathering of all the local churches at the school for a pot luck meal, a little preaching, and a lot of singing. We have United Pentecostal, Baptist, Charismatic, and Catholic all under the same roof. There is a little tension sometimes, but we put aside our differances for this one day to have a good time together.
