I met this guy in November and we really clicked. We both have very busy lives and although have been texting / emailing since then each time either one of us suggests meeting up the other one is busy. Mainly my fault but sometimes him too. I am less busy now and he texted me about a few days ago saying he was still single and was thinking of going speed dating but cancelled and did I go?

1) Was this him finding out if I was still single?
2) He is very shy (or maybe uninterested!) should I ask him out?
3) If I was to ask him out (by text) any suggestions - direct or subtle
4) Shall I just give up

I am not worried about rejection as you only live once, but if I am going togive this a go I would like to have the best chance of success.

Advice please?

Go for it..like you said you only live once. I mean he did text you so text him back and ask him if he wants to get together and make sure nothing comes up to ruin your date. You will regret it if you don't do anything and find out he is seeing someone in the future when you guys could be together now.

ASK HIM OUT!!

he is showing u that he's single (and nearly resorting to speed dating means hes obviously looking for lovee!!)

if u've been trying to meet up for a while, hes showing hes still interested, but wondering if ur single!

so number 1) YES.
2) YES
3) just say it directly i think he wants to do it but is too shy. say something like i no ive been busy recently etc etc but ive not got much on this weekend fancy going out..?
4) NOO. go for it girl!!!!!

good luck!!!x

Suggest that you two meet for lunch. Try to feel the situation out. Is he using busy as an excuse? Just take your time and move slowly. I wouldn't stop my normal routine for him yet!!

i say go for it,especially as you said your not afraid of rejection.just ask him out whether you make it obvious or whether you make it out as just 2 friends going out, if he says no back off if not get your best glad rags on so he knows you made extra effort because your interested then hell have more confidence to show his feelings if he feels you feel the same
good luck and let me know

Just write him a nice friendly e-mail, asking him out. If he's 'too busy' this time, I'd take it as a sign that he's just not that into you, and move on.

some time the man, needs more push from the woman side.
But you have to make sure that he is really single and love you, and you both click to each other.
good luck

i would ask him if i were you, maybe just send a text saying 'Ru free any night this weekend to meet up for a drink/movie?'
if he is then great, if not say 'no prob, would like to another time if your interested..'
hope that helps!
