Why not my faith in Jesus Christ? My faith in God? It has gotten me through two years of cancer treatment. Okay, then, the people God has put into my life who support me? My family, friends, and fiancee(not necessarily in that order, Blondy, if you're reading this. You know what I mean. Things just aren't really important, because they wear out, get lost, or are stolen. Yeah, cars are nice, but you have to spend buku bucks on them to keep them running. All your possessions are either gonna wind up in the trash, or belonging to someone else. Only those things which are other worldly will last. That is what counts.

My children, without a doubt, but there is something else also.
Every year during elementary school, the children make books about different things, such as their favorite day with mom, or what they wish to be when they grow up. The school then binds them, and we parents are presented with the books at the end of the year. I treasure these handmade works of art as a record of my children's growth and tastes.
My children, and these books, are dear to me. I'd hate to lose any of them.

God conquered this world by Jesus Christ, and He is here helping us by the Holy Spirit.....so I shall say that what is most precious to me is that God knows me and will know me forever.

Me. My life.
Many of us overlook the fact that we are the most important thing in our lives. Everything and everyone around centers on us, and without us, those things and people would not be relevant. If I am no more, then nobody can be important in something that is non-existent.

i think that the thing in this world that is most precious to me is my loving family. without them, even if i have millions of $, life still wouldn't be the same. family give you support that money can't buy, family give you a lending hand that money can't really buy and most of all, family give you TRUE happiness that no matter now much money can buy...

Other worldly is so funny, you make me laugh........
I love my children, but they were entrusted to me by God through His creation of Life. My husband made this possible. Not by thinking outside of physics, but by the natural way, by a man loving a woman, me.
Not by sleeping around and seeing what is better now, but by trusting someone that love is mutual.
Not by prenuptial agreements, but by trust, that the other person loves you just as much.
Not by hearing the whining or arguing, but by hearing thier needs first and loving them second.
Do you hear anything in common here???
Love, love is what is most common and you can't find that without God. It is not otherworldly, you can ban me from Yahoo by saying love, who cares, but you would be so wrong. Love is family, those who care about you, but that is also talked about in the Bible, so by dismissing one part of life, is dismissing it all, and I disagree with you in that sense.
Dismiss what you would rather not talk about or hear about is fine with me, the rest of life goes on just fine without you......

My family. In particular my grand children. Certainly not that invisible man who lives in the sky and takes so much pleasure in the wholesale slaughter of people

And this has what to do with religion or spirituality? Is secularism a religion now? I can still say God, and did.
