A few are merely ignorant, and strangely vocal in their ignorance.
However, too many anti-Witnesses scheme to propagandize and simply pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian. Trinitarians use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God. Interestingly, pagans in the first century pretended that Christ's followers were Atheists(!) because the Christians had a somewhat different idea from the pagans about the nature of God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.
The Trinitarian arguments are intended to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to give a Scripturally accurate understanding of the term "Christian".
In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

Often times when people tell me my beliefs, they are repeating what they read/heard from someone else, who either did not know or knew and told it accurately, but was misunderstood or the person knew and decided to pass the wrong info anyway.
Case in point, 1 recent Q on here asked, Why do Jehovah's Witnesses not believe in Dinosaurs. The person later explained that some trouble maker in the family told her that.
Also, some people feel that if you do not view someone the same way, then you do not believe in that thing at all.
Since we do not see Jesus as God, but as the SON of God, some say we do not believe in Jesus period.

Many assume that since we don't believe that Chrit IS God, that we don't accept him at all. However, we DO accept him, for exactly what he held himself to be ... the SON of God.
Another reason is that we do not call ourselves by his name first, but rather, by his Father's name. Since the churches for a very long time didn't use it, many people don't recognize it, & may think we made it up.
Also, they don't realize that Jesus himself is the FOremost Jehovah's Witness. Therefore, whoever is a true footstep follower of Christ, is also one of Jehovah's Witnesses. there is just no getting around that.
Due to the huge misunderstanding regarding our acceptance of Christ as our Messiah, I have posted links to some of the articles on watchtower.org that explain the Bible's & our view of the role that Christ Jesus plays in the history --and future-- of mankind... Feel free to check them out ...
Here are some others:

The last Adam became a life-giving spirit."

To think that Jesus and God was the same would mean that God and Jesus were both liars and imperfect because several time in the Bible Jesus was called God's SON and God was callled Jesus' FATHER.
Here is a few examples
Matt. 26:39 “Going a little farther he [Jesus Christ] fell on his face and prayed, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.’” (If the Father and the Son were not distinct individuals, such a prayer would have been meaningless. Jesus would have been praying to himself, and his will would of necessity have been the Father’s will.)
John 8;17,18 “[Jesus answered the Jewish Pharisees:] In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true; I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me.” (So, Jesus definitely spoke of himself as being an individual separate and distinct from the Father.)
John 14:28 “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”
1 Cor. 11:3 “I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.” (Clearly, then, Christ is not God, and God is of superior rank to Christ. It should be noted that this was written about 55 C.E., some 22 years after Jesus returned to heaven. So the truth here stated applies to the relationship between God and Christ in heaven.)
So we can see from these scriptures that Jesus and God are definately not the same.
Oh and don't let us forget Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. So here we have Jesus, God's voice and God's Spirit al three are separate individuals.

Long ago when I was a child I was attending the "jr church" at a Wesleyan church in Jackson, MS. There was a Kingdom Hall next door and I asked my pastor what "Jehovah" is. As unbelievable as it may sound, he told me that it was what "they" call Jesus.
I believe that it is a combination of confusion because both names start with a "J" and the fact that many denominations believe that Jesus is GOD. Not only that but from my experience in the Door to Door Ministry it seems that some "ministers" and "pastors" are arming their "flock" with "burning missiles" to throw at us, by causing such confusion.
You know how difficult it is to answer some questions because they don't just have it wrong, they have it inside out, backwards and sideways...
Since it is still officially the Memorial Season here is an excerpt from "Reliving Jesus' Last Days on Earth"
"The Jews have been yearning for a Messiah who can bring relief from the Roman yoke. Many believe Jesus of Nazareth to be that long-awaited Savior. For three and a half years, he has been speaking about God's Kingdom. He has cured the sick and fed the hungry. Yes, he has brought comfort to the people. But the religious leaders are chafing under Jesus' burning denunciation of them and are desperate to have him killed. Yet, there he is, walking purposefully up the parched road in front of his disciples.—Mark 10:32."

No, it is the fact they call themselves Jehovah's witnesses not Jesus witneses. But I understand that he is the father and Jesus is his first creation and beside him and all that stuff.
But I also know that I have been given a lot of books from them and Jesus is the main feature in the books.
Anyone who doesn't know that is looking for a reason to discredit them so who cares what they think?
do you think everyone is going to like your religion?

first of all. The Bible doesn't tell you to go and worship a memorial of Jesus every year and 2nd of all, okay you believe that Jesus is the son of God but do you believe that Jesus is God? if not then you don't really believe in him.
hate to break it to you.

not everyone is aware what God's personal name is Jehovah. so if people looked into the scriptures and used reasoning, they would see and hopefully understand that the Son and the Father (Jesus & Jehovah) are seperate and distinct individuals and one scripture that references this FACT is Matt. 26:39... Jesus Christ fell on his face and prayed, "My Father, if is be possible, let this cup pass from me: not as I will, but as thou will." if the father and son were not distinct individual, such prayer would have been meaningless

It may be because Jehovah's Witnesses accept Jesus' word when he said "The Father is greater than I."
It may be because they accept the following scriptures as indication that Jesus is not God but is as he said the Son of God.
Phi 2:6
(ASV) who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality
with God a thing to be grasped,
(BBE) To whom, though himself in the form of God, it did not seem that to take
for oneself was to be like God;
(NWT)6Â who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration
to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.
Jesus never claimed to be equal to God.
Phi 2:9
(ASV) Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which
is above every name;
(BBE) For this reason God has put him in the highest place and has given to
him the name which is greater than every name;
(NWT)9Â For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and
kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name,
Who is greater or above the other, the one given this new name or the one GIVING the name?

What fool would believe that a pastor, priest
or any religious leader would ever tell them the truth
about Jehovah's Witnesses even if they did know it anyway? I can't believe what I am reading from these people...
And how they misuse Scriptures
as a claim to prove Jesus a liar?
They dismiss the hundreds of obvious ways
in which he made it so clear that he was the son of God
and just once they see a scripture
they understand nothing about
and yell: "proof! here's the proof he's God!"
when it's no proof at all!!!
Ignorance!!! Au bout''''' To the max!
Just like "some" people will buy a brand ten times
more expensive than another just for the name on the bottle
even if it was proven to them
that another brand was just as good...
Ignorant people blinded by Satan
and the whole empire of false religions' influence
leads them to believe whatever they hear and worse!,
they just hear his holy name "Jehovah"
and immediately turn on these mild and meek
only true followers of Christ that I've ever met as a group,
as if they were the vicious lion who seeks to devour the whole bunch of them...
They are convinced that good is bad and bad is good.
This is what saddens me the most in this world right now...
Of course Jehovah's Witnesses believe in Christ!
I can vouch for that!!!
You'll never hear them using his name in vain
like these... 'o' so religious people do all of the time...
and never do they say a single prayer to Jehovah
without going first through Jesus
and only in his name do they ask anything at all
from the Father...
they obey the slightest commandment
including that of not calling anyone "Father"
on the earth as quoted in Matthew 23:9.
They understand the meaning of Matthew 24:14
and do their utmost to act according
to all of what Jesus commanded them to do
until their mission will have been accomplished
at Armageddon...
Unlike the nation who look upon it has doomsday!
they look forward to that day as it will be the day
that Jehovah's name will be praised and honoured
instead of feared and looked-upon in an ignorant
and biased manner and never again
will the god of 2 Corinthians 4:4 will be able to do
so much damage as he's managed to do
for about 6,000 years now...
A thousand years of peace on earth
is awaiting these faithful servants of Jehovah God
and for all of these reasons...
so-called christians with their hundreds
of man-made traditions, images, statues
with all forms of disgusting idols
would welcome nothing less
than to burn them all at the stake
for being different and for not believing in Christ?!!!?
It's a sick sick world we live in... for sure...
Is it any wonder that worldly "christians"
get divorced by the day,
that the majority are even too ashamed
to call their wives or husbands just that
and replace the terms by
"my old man", "my old lady", "ma blonde", "mon chum" etc.
Just like the stupid song that says "bad is good",
2 Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 1:28-32...
this is what was predicted people would do in these days
as the lies rule and everyone seems to just want
their ears tickled with any lies...
another song: "give me lies, give me sweet little lies..."
jumped up in popularity from the first time it was heard...
Does it come as a shock that they hate
the followers of Christ today as much as they would
Jesus himself 2,000 years ago when they
(same religiously inclined "humans")
just had to do away with him for speaking the truth?
They (same then as today!) can't take the Truth!!!
They shun it 'cause there too (might as well say it!) stupid!
to understand or accept as "fact" that Satan who,
by the way! is still in charge here for a little while longer,
won't allow them to hear the "ring of truth"
if their lives depended on it... Sadly enough, it does! In the name of your son Christ Jesus, Jehovah God, open those eyes for your name's sake and eternal glory! Amen!!!
