In my opinion, no, Adam and Eve existed many many many years after the demise of the dinosaurs. If I believe science. Perhaps only 150,000 to 200,000 years ago. If I believe religion, only about 6000 years ago.

In either case, the dinosaurs were long gone by that time according to fossil records.

Some religious nutters, creationists, are vehemently opposed to the notion that dinosaurs exist. They prefer to follow the teachings of the Bible, where the story of Adam battling the Giant Space Octopus, defeating him and creating humans from his remains is much more widely accepted. Even the world-famous dinosaur skeletons, discovered in the basement of the British Museum, have yet to convince the religious world otherwise. Scientists and Priests are due to settle this debate once and for all with a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors in the Wembley Stadium at some time yet to be announced. Gates will open at 7:30. Tickets are £5 each. Bring your own beer.

While the radioactive dating method is innovative, it is still based on speculation and assumption. In contrast, the Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.

Some dinosaurs (and pterosaurs) may indeed have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures” and “great sea monsters.” Perhaps other types of dinosaurs were created in the sixth epoch. The vast array of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that evidently existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24.

When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by God for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Thus, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it harmonizes with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.

Hi Starlight, I like your rainbow! ;-)

Your question is interesting, but you are asking a religious book to answer a scientific question. Basically, the two incompatible on this matter.

Pretty much all scientists think the dinosaurs died out about 65,000,000 years ago. That is based on tons of evidence from paleotology, geology, biology, astronomy, and so on. Even if there is some uncertainty, no scientist thinks that dinosaurs like T. rex could have been alive any more recently than say 60,000,000 years ago.

On the other hand, the Bible lists the human generations since Adam and Eve, and adding them up gives a number of about 6,000 years. Even though the genealogy isn't exactly precise, and there is room for a few unmentioned generations, it seems unlikely that the biblical chronology could stretch to more than about 10,000 years ago.

That leaves a gap of, say, 59,990,000 years - or about 2,400,000 generations of people. And there is absolutely no way that the gaps in biblical genealogy could possibly add up to that many generations!

A second incompatibility is that almost all scientists who study human fossils think that modern humans, Homo sapiens, arose about 200,000 years ago. Again, the dating is based on lots of evidence from many different sciences, and again, allowing for inconsistencies, perhaps we could say that modern humans were alive 500,000 years ago.

But that still leaves a huge gap of 59,500,000 years between when scientists think the last dinosaurs might have died and when the first humans walked the earth!

Believe me, the scientists are smart people, who try hard to be good and honest people, and who work very hard to understand these difficult issues. Scientists are not systematically lying about these things, and it is extremely unlikely that they are completely wrong about these dates.

The Bible means a lot of things to a lot of people, and you are free to believe anything about it that you wish, but it really cannot be used to try to show that humans and dinosaurs lived together once upon a time!

Those who believe in a younger age for the earth tend to agree that the Bible does mention dinosaurs though it never actually uses the word “dinosaur.” Instead, it uses the Hebrew word tanniyn (pronounced tan-neen; Strong’s #08577). Tanniyn is translated a few different ways in our English Bibles; sometimes it’s “sea monster,” sometimes it’s “serpent.” It is most commonly translated “dragon.” The tanniyn appear to have been some sort of giant reptile. These creatures are mentioned nearly thirty times in the Old Testament and are found both on land and in the water.

In addition to mentioning these giant reptiles in general nearly thirty times throughout the Old Testament, the Bible describes a couple of creatures in such a way that some scholars believe the writers may have been describing dinosaurs. Behemoth is said to be the mightiest of all God’s creatures, a giant whose tail is likened to a cedar tree (Job 40:15ff). Some scholars have tried to identify Behemoth as either an elephant or a hippopotamus. Others point out that elephants and hippopotamuses have very thin tails, nothing comparable to a cedar tree. Dinosaurs like the Brachiosaurus and the Diplodocus on the other had huge tails which one could easily compare to a cedar tree.
In addition to the substantial amount of anthropic and historical evidences for the coexistence of dinosaur and man, there are other physical evidences, like the fossilized footprints of humans and dinosaurs found together at places in North America and West-Central Asia.

Yes, up until shortly after the flood. The world we live in is vastly different than the world before the flood. Pre-flood everything grew bigger, plants, animals, and humans. Most people know that dinosaurs were big, and plants were big, but most don't know that ancient human skeletal remains are consistently 7-10 feet tall. Many dinosaurs have nostrils that in todays atmosphere would not allow oxygen in to stay alive. Scientists know that the oxygen percentage of ancient times was way greater than today. If you were to increase the oxygen content of a human for the course of their life they would not only grow bigger, be healthier, but also live longer. No wonder the ages recorded pre-flood are amazingly long, 200, 300 years. Post flood those ages decline sharply. The flood was the catastrophic event that was the demise of most of the dinosaurs, minus those on the ark which would have died some time later. The nice pretty rock layers that scientists use to date things (fossils in lower rock strata are older, higher are younger) would have to be looked at totally different if the layers occurred as a result of a worldwide flood. Science determines it takes so long for a layer to develop and work backwards to date things. The smallest factor can have huge effects on dating. What if the small factor was a HUGE FLOOD! Their dating would be garbage. But all scientists know there was no flood and the Grand Canyon was formed by a small river. The Colorado River would take millions of years to form those canyons. But what if it wasn't formed by a small river? How long would it take a worldwide flood to make it? The flood changed our world forever and led to the demise of the large dinosaurs and shortened our lives as well as our height.

You question is flawed first you asked for an opinion then you asked for a fact. No, in my opinion, dinosorus didn't co-exist with Adam and Eve. No, dinosaurs did not exist based on the bible.

As much as the "educated" people would like to say that is just another fairy tale, there is actually alot of evidence that man and dino did co-exist.Cave paintings in France show mammoths and Dinosaurs fighting. How did ancient man know what the dinosaur looked like? The paintings are extremely life like to the dinosaurs we have put in our Museums today. Neanderthal Archeology Dept.? Ancient tablets in Assyria and Egypt, carvings on temples show amazingly accurate renditions of what appear to be dinosaurs. Again how did they know? China's new year is depicted by a different animal every year. The Dragon is the only one that is not a actual living animal today. Was the Dragon, just the name for a dinosaur that lived with man thousands of years ago in China? Roman and Greek swords and shields with drawings of dinosaurs have been found. Where did they get the idea? Unfortunately "science" is so dogmatic in their religion of evolution, that anything that does not fit their time scale is just ignored.
