Not unless people like (reverends... LOL) Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton disappear. Also, drop the whole 'AFRICAN' prefix. No other ethnic group uses a prefix to define themselves. Most people don't have racist tendencies, unless they're forced to hear/read about it every day, courtesy of racists like Jackson and Sharpton.

I believe the main reason race relations - specifically between whites and blacks - are still strained is because of the focus on race relations to begin with. Having Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson scream about injustice every times something bad happens to a black person only sets things back a step. At the very least it reminds people that blacks have been treated differently. But I think the bigger issue is it undermines the perception of blacks as strong and intelligent member of society. I think it also strains race relations by making whites more self conscious about how they interact with blacks.

I believe each successive generation is becoming more and more tolerant and accepting. In 20 - 30 years when Gen X and younger dominate the population, I don't even think race relations will be an issue. You look at today's kids and they really don't seem to care. They idolize the same athletes and musicians (using the term loosely) and they don't really seem to think about a person's skin color. And I honestly believe this is something that has been happening slowly for over a century, but is nearing a critical mass.

I actually thought it would get better since we were doing really well at mixing the races up enough to where we would all be "mutts"but with all this political mess with the immigration law reform who knows how bad it will get. Let us try to immigrate to a different country & see how hard it is. We have too many people now. It is going to be kaos in a matter of years simply because there are too many people trying to live here, regardless of the race. We are all just people but there are only so much food water schools gas roads houses jobs.......

it would desire to pass the two way. maximum human beings rub alongside ok, yet there is numerous incorrect information placed around by skill of the clicking. Fro occasion, those products that "we will not have fun St. George's day any further". no person ever did have fun it, no longer something to do with minotiry communities, no person ever cared approximately it and ninety% of folk nonetheless do no longer. i think of that on the whole issues are growing to be to be extra powerful, this united states of america has coped properly with the inflow from eastern Europe, the main problem perfect now's to do with the separation of Muslim and non-Muslim communities, yet cutting-edge activities have made many human beings on the two facets of that divide awaken and start up questioning heavily. there's a sparkling technology growing to be up who might have an exceedingly distinctive address issues, i'm hopeful that it will artwork out properly. Britain is great - and that's the mixture of folk in it that make it great.

Worse. THe trends since the 80's seems to point that way. People are hang around "their own kind" a lot more than they use to. Also there is an increase dynamics to racism. Before there was only two main race to deal with now. we have so many others.

Back in the early 60s when i was growing up. White people were used to having their way.It has not changed much in 50 years. Why would it change in 20.By the way nobody told me about it. I grew up in south Texas. Sorry but I still see white people talking down to hispanics.Especially if they are brown skin. One thing has changed and I am glad it is happening to them. The illegals are driving the white Americans crazy with anger. Mainly because they cannot control the situation. I hope we get another 30 million just to see white Americans squirm with anger. I can not think of anybody that deserves it more.

""How will you handle it when an illegal alien who is DUI for the fourth time and kills one of your family?""

How would you handle it. If a white American stole your retirement like they did at Enron. Would you still think he was a good ole white boy.

Every nationality, race or what ever has crap.

Worse.
The race war has already begun in Los Angeles county, in California, with hispanic gangs killing blacks at random, every day, indiscriminate killings, women, children, old men, shot down just for being black.
The schools in L.A. are having race riots all the time, hispanics against the blacks, the hispanics outnumber the blacks, 20 to 1.
Our jails and prisons in California are the same, the hispanics outnumber the blacks 40 to 1, there have been race riots in almost every jail in L.A county. The mexican mafia started it, an investigation showed that an order came from the mexican mafia to kill all the blacks in L.A. jails. Then the riots began.
Mayor Villaraigosa did nothing to stop it, nothing to help. Thank God L.A. country sheriff Baca took control and moved the Black prisoners out, then he instituted a program to deport all the illegal aliens from the jails in L.A. county (which should have been done in the first place), to alleviate some of the racial problems.

When the U.S. civil race war erupts in earnest, it will be the hispanics against everyone else.
One of the reasons why is they hate everyone who is not "hispanic". Just look at the la raza motto ! "for la raza EVERYTHING, for everyone else NOTHING". Now THAT is racist.

If Political Correctness continues to dull down the freedom of speech and free/independent thinking then no, they won't improve.

As soon as everybody realizes that everyone has their own opinion and that is just the way it is - things will get better.

You don't have to like the opinion of others - it's okay. They don't have to like yours. The media is slowly dulling everyone down into these yes-nodding dummies that are not allowed to have their own free thoughts.
