I can only speak one...excluding english.
Yep, I could have a conversation, but not really a good one. Yes, it helps me when I go to South Africa.

I only speak english but in todays world, it would be useful to be able to at least understand or be understood in the more basic languages such as spanish, german, italian and french. If your visiting a foreign country I think its your DUTY to learn enough to get by. They should not have to learn your language. Just like the people immigrating here should make efforts to learn rudimentary english. I should not HAVE to learn their language to communicate in my own country

I SPEAK English,German,french and Arabic..its very useful in traveling Cox am a fan of travel around the world and of course in my work i deal with international companies which appreciate that i speak their language..good luck and have fun learning as much languages as u can..

Well, the language I'm most fluent in is French. But I can speak a little Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese and Italian. So that's six languages I suppose.

I speak five languages: English, Chinese Mandarin, French, Indonesian and Malay. Are they useful? A resounding yes!

I use them to communicate while abroad and I travel quite a lot around Asia, so knowing three asian languages helps a lot.

i speak 2 languages fluently and another 2 still learning them, the first 2 r English & Arabic the other spanish and japanese.
and yeah it's important 2 use foreign language and -4 me - i do need it.

I speak four: Spanish, English, French and a little bit of Russian. And, of course, after a few drinks, I make my own language :-)

3 in some degrees:
Spanish (native)
English, I'm trying to progress =), and yes I think it's really necesary.
Russian, I know just a bit, I don't think it's very necesary but I really like it.
I may understand written portuguese, french, italian and some other romance languages but speak them
I would like to learn german, finnish and may be some day some eastern language.

I speak English and German.
I'm currently studying Latin and I can also speak a little Russian and other slavic languages since they are close to my language - Bulgarian.
