Do people who do more worldly deeds get to have more awards or a better home in heaven?

What will heaven be like? Will you see your saved wife? Will you get to have sex? I just find heaven too confusing. I like the idea of being saved. But I can't picture living for eternity. That's quite a long time isn't it? Won't you get bored eventually. Also I think you lose your freewill in heaven. So are you like a robot worshiping God now? I guess we are to serve him and all, but i'm curious what you think heaven is like?

Seriously, dont sweat it. 1Corinthians 2:9 says: "Eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for them that love Him". Do you realize what this is saying? It's saying that no matter HOW good you can imagine heaven to be, its actually going to be BETTER than that. Now THAT is a trip.....theBerean

People who did more work for God will get better rewards, that's true.

What will Heaven be like?
Heaven will be a place of absolute happiness. The Bible tells us little abou the place itself (the suspence keeps it interesting).

Will you see your saved wife?
You will be able to meet every believer in history from Adam on.

Will you get to have sex?
There is no sex in heaven. That is actually brought up in one of the talks Jesus gave about it. There is no marriage either.

I can't picture living for eternity.
Neither can anyone else. The concept of eternity eludes the human mind. It simply doesn't end.

Won't you get bored eventually?
Nope. Absolute bliss doesn't get old. A second point, you will have no conception of time anymore. "1,000 years are as a day to the Lord, and a day as 1,000 years." Time doesn't exist in eternity.

Also I think you lose your freewill in heaven. So are you like a robot worshipping God now?
You don't lose your freewill, you lose your sinul nature. Look at it this way: on earth your aspiration is to be with God, but your sinful nature distracts you with other things. In heaven, you are with God (no matter what you're doing) so you can pursue any hobby you like (several theologans have suggested this). Earth is the training ground, when we leave the crap here, we get to have our fun.

This is my religion's take on the afterlife, as far as I understand it:

"Are there levels of heaven?"
Yes, there are.

"Will you see your saved wife?" With the proper authority and ordinances, you can be with your family forever.

"Will you get to have sex?" I'm sure this sounds blasphemous, but I would say yes. With your spouse, not just anyone. I don't think sex is this inherently evil thing some may take it to be---it's just that it's terribly misused in our society. And our bodies will be glorified, so it won't be exactly the same.

"Forever . . .That's quite a long time isn't it?" Indeed.

"Won't you get bored eventually?" I think there will be plenty to do. I have a feeling our priorities will shift in the next life.

"Also I think you lose your freewill in heaven." No way! That's God's greatest gift to mankind. Heaven without free will wouldn't be Heaven at all. That's the point---you consciously chose to live a life worthy of exaltation.

"So are you like a robot worshiping God now?" I would hope not. That sounds more like Satan's plan. God wants us to serve him because it's *our* choice.

"I'm curious what you think heaven is like?" A lot more like this life than you might think---I believe we maintain our identities---except a lot better, obviously.

We are unable to fully serve God in this life due to sin but in Heaven "every curse will no longer be" (Revelation 22:3). We will not be under the curse of sin any longer so everything we do will be worship in Heaven. We will never be motivated by anything other than our love for God. Everything we do will be out of our love for God, untainted by our sin nature.

So what will we do? My favorite thing is learn. "For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?" (Romans 11:34) "in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3). God is the "the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity" (Isaiah 57:15). God is bigger than forever and it will take eternity "to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18-19). We will never stop learning.

God's Word says we won't have to be in His paradise alone. "I shall fully know even as I also am fully known" (1 Corinthians 13:12). We will not only know our friends and family we will "fully know" them. In other words, there is no need for secrets in Heaven. There is nothing to be ashamed of. There is nothing to hide. We will have eternity to interact with "a great multitude, which no man could number, out of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues" (Revelation 7:9). No wonder Heaven will be a place of infinite learning. Just getting to know everyone will take eternity!

Any further speculations about what we shall do in God's eternal park, a.k.a. Heaven, will be far surpassed when "the King shall say to those on His right hand, Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world" (Matthew 25:34).

God is our creator and knows how the world should be run. Heaven is where creation is run God's way: the way it's meant to be. The more we sacrifice ourselves for God on earth, the more we'll enjoy heaven. But I don't think that means different levels.
One way to imagine heaven is to think of all the good that humanity has achieved and take away all that's wrong. That doesn't reduce us to robots or make life boring. Would a drive in the country be worse if the car didn't pollute and there was no litter?

A whole bunch of questions: lets start at the top.

1) People who are more 'saintly' have a certain status about themselves (i.e. more people tend to want to visit them than others) but other than than the crowds (which die down after awhile, once you meet them and understand they were just like you), heaven is pretty much non-hierarchal, or more closely, it might be said heaven is more 'personally' hierarchal; you 'choose' whom you believe is 'greater' than you, for doing so gives you an example to aspire to.

2) As for who you meet in heaven, that is also entirely personal. Not everyone meets the same person, although it is most likely that you will reencounter people you've known while on Earth. The stronger the bonds of love and/or friendship, the more likely you will meet.

3) Sex is always a BIG question for people, and the answer is a happy/disappointing yes and no. No, its not what you might consider 'sex' on Earth, but once you've had it, you won't miss Earth's version of sex. In 'sex' in Heaven, two souls can essentially meld into one another with no limitations other than the level of love between them. Think of it this way: on earth, you were like two glasses rubbing against each other, while the water stayed inside. In Heaven, the water is spilled from the glass so that you and your partner join seamlessly. And you don't disappear, you simply become a new type of combined consciousness, which can join or seperate itself at will.

4) Heaven is not confusing because the 'truths' are revealed to you at your own pace. In other words, God isn't going to fill your mind/spirit with blackboard length equations dictating the myriad properties of a leaf falling right off the bat. As you 'progress', more and more is revealed to you.

5) In heaven, the concept of Eternity is not 'thought' about because the concept of living is reduced to being in the Here and Now. When you are so fully concentrated in the Here and Now, you have no need to worry about what will happen later. That's part of the peace that accompanies being in Heaven, being freed from worrying about the 'past' or the 'future'. Like the saying goes: Time flies when you're having fun. You won't wonder how long eternity will be, you will wonder how so much time can be used up without even knowing about it.

6) Boredom is due to a lack of stimulation and a pressure to be 'stimulated' due to a lack of enough 'time'. When you have all eternity in which to do everything/anything you've wanted to do (within reason, stuff like fishing is mostly off limits) its not a question of being bored, its a question of "What do I want to do next?"

7) Heaven isn't heaven if you really, truly don't want to be there. Sure, you will soon understand that your concept of 'free-will' was alot less free than you might have thought (people don't fall in love with other people randomly, you know) but it will be the same 'loss' of free-will that you experience when you go to the store and decide (from all the flavors of ice cream) to only buy what you have a taste for. You're choices will still be limited, and by yourself, but you won't mind it.

8) God doesn't need 'robots' praising. It's like paying someone to tell you what a great so-and-so you are. It always feels better when people come up to you and say you are a great so-and-so because they really mean it. God would rather you praise 'him/her' once sincerely than ten thousand times robotically. Besides, Heaven wouldn't be Heaven if you didn't feel like 'Man, this is the BEST feeling ever, thank you thank you thank you thank you, etc etc etc.' so its less about saying 'thank you' every five minutes and more about being thankful with everything that you do.

Hope this helps.

Think about the most beautiful & perfect life time you may live in this world for 1000 years. There was no pain, no disease, no sorrow , nothing that would bother you in any terms . Just with happiness and joy.
One second in Heaven is more beautiful than this 1000 years.
It has 7 levels
It is a gift for the humans who knew their Creator and accept Him as the only God
Eternity bores? I dont think so
Because our perception is used to see things which are all " mortal" so ,, eternity is beyond the understanding of our limited understanding.

Interesting question, but heaven is one of life's most challenging mysteries. Some say heaven is only a concept, some say that it is a place of never-ending happiness, some even say that heaven is only a "bait" so humans do goodness and avoid sinful doings.

I don't have any clue of heaven except for what's written in the Bible. But i have one theory of heaven.

In the Bible (sorry if i use the Bible considering i don't have any other references) it said that God "made" man quite similar to Him. From there, we can conclude that God lives on a place similar to earth. I think, heaven is a very much like earth itself (but more beautiful i guess), the difference is God existed in a physical way on that "earth".

Folks who want to be saved need to understand from what God is saving them. in Isa.14:12-15 we find satan has A "i" problem, the greatest need, the greatest thing that God saves you from is yourself, Jesus the second member of The Godhead in Isa.53 is a person who gave up Himself, who paid a debt that He did not owe because you owed a debt you could not pay, Heaven without Jesus is no Heaven at all, Heaven Jesus said in Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Yes there is a real kingdom of God called Heaven but the kingdom of God, His likeness is produced within when Christ likeness is formed within when "i" is replaced with The I AM [John 8:58] that is the beginning of The Kingdom of God one must have to be fitted for a place in Heaven above, find out more about the conditions upon which life is offered free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org OR www.itiswritten.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Yeah, like they know. Sure. They only dream of it.
Can you live in a perpetual state of bliss?
