Have you noticed that it is only people that don't have Vista (or at least, the majority) don't like it. Maybe they're jealous or they can't afford it.

If you're a Vista owner, do you like it?

If you're not an owner, why not?

Thanks.

By the way, I'm a Vista owner and I love it!

The question that was two above yours was from someone who cannot get her scanner to work with Vista, even though she got the new drivers. Some problems for me. My scanner etc will not work with Vista, even after getting new drivers.
That said, I LOVE Vista. I would have it on all my computers IF my other equipment would run with Vista.
One of my favorite things is the Pink gremlin clock. Love it.

It's good you have Vista. I've been dabbling with it, and I think I'll wait until they work the bugs out. It still doesn't support many drivers, even for new products like cameras, printers, scanners, monitors, hell, even some new video cards have conflicts. Plus, the overbearing security that asks you every single time before it makes a move is just time consuming. Most of my customers that bought Vista had a hard time installing it, and even more tried to upgrade from XP, but couldn't. Theres even an issue with the copyright controls... but that's too deep to get into.

First of all I am not Vista owner and I am planning to use it once I get a capable machine for it. In my opinion, Vista is a very good OS and I think most people dislike it because they have high expectation of it and once it come out..it is just an ordinary OS like other OS. It's already set in their mind that why do we have to get a powerful machine to make run while in the end the outcomes are all the same. All OS can perform common task like Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation slide, Internet browsing, etc.. They hate Vista because of this question.."Why do we pay more just to perform such common tasks?"..

People dislike Windows Vista for the same reason people dislike any Microsoft product. It's buggy, unstable and takes up way too much memory. You might like Vista NOW, but just you wait. Give it a couple more months. You'll be installing "Critical Updates" on a daily basis, just like your other MS brethren.

i don't own windows vista but here's what i hear about why people don't like it. the majority of computers that people already own don't have the capabilities to handle it. the main reason tho is that vista doesn't have a lot of the drivers for printers, scanners and such. so even after going out and buying new hardware for their computer to be able to run vista, they still can't use their printers and scanners and whatnot, which seems really sucks for them.

Glad you like it.

Vista isn't all that revolutionary so why bother? You can download quite a few of the features free off the internet from Microsoft or Yahoo!

Like many new Microsoft products, it has bugs & people hate paying $ to feel like guinea pigs.

Type Vista in the search for questions box! It aint too hard to figure out! If you bought a new system with it, its bound to run, its the people who are upgrading that are having the probs! No drivers, old software wont work, etc!

They don't have a lot of drivers out for the software. Plus, MS completely lied in their marketing of the OS. Many computer companies said that people needed to upgrade their machines for Vista, when in reality they did not.
I'm also waiting for someone to crack it real nice.

Well, I think Microsoft rushed it even though they already delayed it. Think it's perfect? Like hello? Have you watched the video showing about Vista's voice recognition? I don't like it so much because one, I'm not sure if it's that good and two, I'm not used to it. I don't know about you. Did you like it before you had it? I just think Microsoft took quite a too big step.
