when I clicked print, the screen said it was sent to my email. When I checked my email, It was in PDF form but there were no figures. There were only personal information, like my names, address, etc. As if it was not filled up at all. I did it from the website of www. tax$imple.com. I sent an email to inquire about the empty information about the print. Reply said it will take 1-3 days to reply. By that time, it's already deadline for submition. Can I do it all over again in another accredited website of the irs and submit? Will there be any consequences if I submit again? I need help. Thanks. Pam

if you efiled your return you should be able to check within the site you used to check the status of your return, if it was accepted or not. the one i recommend to use is turbotax.com. i have used it for the past three years and have recommended it to family and friends.it has the free federal efile. you can try there. if it is accepted then the first one didnt go through. you can also print a copy from the web site , they wont sendit through your email. just the acceptance letter. if you choose to. as for the state, wi has a free file online. your state might too, check the state irs website for your state, i believe that ca, il and ny also free file.

If you submit a second return and the first one did submit, the second one will reject so you'll know, and it won't cause any problems.

The copy to your email account was probably just so you'd have a copy. But the fact that all the numbers were zero is cause for concern - sounds like maybe it got submitted that way the first time. And if that happened, a second return would still reject, but you still wouldn't have filed properly.

I know this answer isn't a lot of help, but there's really no way to tell what happened here.

If you have a refund coming, you'll be able to straighten it out without penalty after the 4/17 deadline. Also, if you have a refund coming, check irs.gov "where's my refund" - if it shows correctly there, then it filed OK. But it can take days or a week or more for refunds to show up there, so if it doesn't show, you still won't know.

Unless the site you filed at responds with helpful info, you might have to wait a week or so, then call the IRS and see what info they can give you.

Good luck.

you are able to. in the time of the filling season, the IRS information superhighway internet site has a "unfastened report" icon that takes you to an internet site that asks you some questions and as a results of your solutions, directs you to numerous companies of unfastened prep and efile of a federal return. maximum cost for a state return and that's how they stay in company. yet whilst doing all your person taxes replaced into that straightforward or a reliable thought, Block, Jackson Hewitt, Liberty, CPAs, and mom-and-pop-ops might all be out of company. The Tax Code in printed type fills a medium length room, so that's straightforward to screw up that expenses you hundreds of dollars. i understand because of the fact I restoration dozens a 300 and sixty 5 days from people who thought they might do their own taxes. so which you would be able to report for unfastened. and you gets each thing you pay for once you do.
