Are you tired of church as usual? I get tired of going to church and not seeing God move like I know HE can and HE wants to. I am tired of man standing in Gods way. God is such a gentleman that HE will never force us to allow Him to have His way in our midst, but that is the way it should be. You know a lot of people on here are right when they say God is not moving like HE did in the Bible. THAT PEOPLE IS OUR FAULT!!!!!! When is the last time you asked God to do something and believed 100% that HE will do it? That is why the apostles saw so many miracles 100% pure faith that God will do it. We should be walking into hospitals and the sick getting up and walking out. The lamb should be leaping at our word. The dead should be coming back to life. These are the things I long for. MY GOD CAN DO THEM AND HE IS GOING TO AGAIN. Am I the only one that wants these things to be a part of our every day life? Am I the only one that is tired of church as usual?

You are right, I think people have become so comforable and accustomed to living in this world that they have forgotten to put their faith in God and let God do His work through them. Know what I did? Left the country! Learned to depend on the Lord and grow in Him. God moved in my life and in my family`s lifeand Gis is moving in many people`s lives around me and it is amazing! The only people who are stuck are the people who refuse to give up the world and the things in them in exchange for something better.

I think that's one of the main problems with Christianity today. people go to church and they decide OK this is the best church and all others are wrong. We expect other people to accept us as Christians however, we don't even respect other Christians. We are standing in God's way we let other people get under our skins and then we start to doubt what we believe. So many people put us down and laugh at us that we start to doubt. we don't doubt that God exists we just doubt that he will help us. I have stopped going to church for this very reason. I believe in God with all my heart. But its seems like organized religion is going downhill. You are so right about the 100% faith . faith the size of a mustard seed is all we need but so many of us are living of the world. we see all the crazy and terrible things going on a think we cant make a difference maybe some don't even try. I do think that as a community of believers people need to band together for the greater good. How do soldiers do it in war? do they say OK my battalion is better and knows the only way to fight so we will go off by our selves and think ours is the only right way? No they band together and fight. Which is what ALL believers in God should do. I believe we could have miracles each and everyday if this happened.

I think I understand how you feel. When I was a child the Pentecostal Church I went too was on fire for Jesus. Where did the fire go? Why are so many people leaving church's? I think its because Jesus isn't in the church's anymore. We hear about all these famous preacher's falling into temptation, they have become greedy, judgmental and overbearing. It is tearing the church's apart. Yes Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!!!!
Your not the only one feeling that way. I would love to see God pour out his Spirit on the church's again, but I fear man's ego is standing in the way. I think we are seeing the falling away of the church, as prophesied.
Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

I agree that God wants to do more than we ask or imagine. However I am going to say something here that may surprise some of you. God can do things through people that are sick. Having more faith does not heal people all the time. My husband and I have chronic illnesses- and I believe 100% that God can heal us- this very moment if He choses too. However for whatever reason He has not chosen too- but that does not mean there is something that we are not doing to be healed. I would love to see God do more miracles yes, but I think some of the greatest miracles are when people allow God to use them in the midst of their illnesses. I am not negating what you are saying at all- but everyone reading this do not be discouraged if you have something in your life you would rather not have, because if you choose you can allow the Lord to use it to glorify Himself, and that can be used to bring others to Christ too,and that is the biggest miracle of all.

I don't have that problem at the church I'm attending. It's a non-denominational/Assembly of God. And our pastor is on fire every week There is so much spirit in the church that you can feel it. And our attendance is phenomenal. Our pastor does not stand in God's way. It's the person's choice if he wants to be saved. I agree with you that we all should have more faith though, myself included. The faith of a mustard seed, God answers all believers prayers. What I'm sick of is most preachers, usually on TV are always asking for money . That's not humbling and it shows a lack of faith on their part. I'm not sure if I answered your question in the context it was meant for, this is just how I feel.

Here's where I'm at. I feel that asking for God to perform a miracle would be asking alot. And not because I don't have faith that He could. I believe that God will do exactly what God wants and when He wants to regardless of my faith. I believe 100% that God can move mountains but I'm not sure if I should ask Him to.
I guess alot of it has to do with my own motives. Like my friend with MS. I want God to cure her. Do I want it for myself, for her, or for some other reason and what if it isn't God's plan to cure her? This lady I know fell sick and lost her apartment. I wanted her to move back and I wanted to pray for that. Then I questioned my motives again. Did I want her back just because I missed her? Maybe God has a new place for her and His will isn't what I want.
I know where you're at wanting miracles I do too. I want to show people my God is real and that He loves everyone of us and I want people to see the power and glory of my God and come running to Him. Having said that and with those motives would it be ok to ask for Him to do for us? Or let God's will be done?

You are so right. I am not tired of the house of the lord, but I am tired of these weak believers. The lord said, "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains"
So if we are the body of christ why aren't his hands healing, why aren't his words teaching, why aren't his feet going. Spread the word, and be a leader like you are...open up the way people think.
Listen to this song by Casting Crowns its called "If we are the body" it talks about exactly what you are saying!

I have a senior pastor that doesn't stand in God's way, in fact, if the Lord speaks to him, he has on occasion changed midstream to be able to follow the Lord's leading...Church isn't boring and sometimes is very different every week. And Pastor Sandy told us then when someone dies...Pastor Scott prays in faith for them to rise up.....None have yet but that doesn't stop him..
Wilderness times are hard......but you never walk there alone, the Lord is always with you.

No. I can identify. You're right about the faith that's needed but so is carrying the cross. To be willing to follow the example Christ left requires radical trust, prayer, poverty, obedience to the demands of the Spirit and unconditional love and mercy. The Holy Spirit has planted this desire in your heart because God wants more of you. Take up his cross, go to the wilderness where He can speak to your heart and empty yourself of yourself so that He can live in you.

I've done this what I'm about to tell you. And you know what happen? I got a brand new paid off 07 Bentley.
Ok, you can't just go to God with your "to do" list.
You have to "Come unto God with thanks".
And do it with your whole heart. Then you have to confess every day what it is you want. I do it 3 times a day and confess it 20 times in those 3 times a day.
Like say "This so in so is mine".. Or whatever.. Joel Osteen helped me a lot to understand many things as to why nothing was happening in my life when I believed for it..
And you can't go around with negative thinking. Because your life will follow your thoughts.. Good or bad.. And you can't just do it for 2 days and just say "Well, I give up. Nothing good has happened yet."
Joel Osteen would really help you too..
