Depends on the trucking company's employment policies. There is no law or regulation forbidding such employment. I know several truck drivers with criminal histories, they are still driving.

No harm in trying. 12 years is a long time and since there has been no other problems with the law I can't see a problem.

I think chances are good. Some parole terms though require to stay within the state for some period of time.
