Help! Some nasty kids were messing around with 4 kittens earlier today. I took them away because they were so little. I talked to some people, they said they might be like 2 weeks old since they opened their eyes. Anyhoo, I bought some milk replacer for kittens, and a bottle. Got them a warm box, a blanket, and some heat (heated half a cup of uncooked rice in the microwave- I got the idea from Kittens for Dummies). Now what do I do? I'm seriously terrified i'm going to do more damage than good. Sugguestions?

They must be feed every three hour. Keep them warm and in the morning get them to the vet. You want to have them check out soon. He will be able to tell you about what age they are. If you can't take them to a vet get a hold a shelter and explain to then that some local kids were tormenting them and they need help. Good Luck.

Three kittens is a lot of work. First make sure you keep them in a nice sized box, with high sides and no top. The towel should be low-quality. Your not going to want it back. Keep the towel scrunched up in places because kittens like to hide when they sleep, it makes them feel safe. A heating pad will keep it warm enough, put on low, and never disturb it during a nap.

Lay out some newspaper on the corner of the box, usually they won't go on they're blankets, because they see it as there sleeping spot.

Any pet store has kitten formula. The best is powdered so you only mix as much as you need. The pet store will also have a bottle with nipple designed for kittens, but I have found an eyedropper to work better. Feed the kitten according to formula instructions, and be sure when feeding not to force fluid down its throat but gently make enough fluid available for the kitten to swallow suck it into its mouth and swallow it. Go slow. Forcing fluid can cause the kitten to aspirate it into his/her lungs causing pneumonia and ultimately death. If theyre sneezing during feedings make sure you're tilting the bottle at a 45 degree angle. After feeding them, burp them 'against your chest like you'd do with a human baby.

Also, the kitten will be very noisy. And it's a hard thing to take care of these kitties who are so young. Good Luck!

You need to feed those kitten every two to three hours and then you need to lightly rub them like when the mother licks them after feeding. It gets the food moving and is important. At two weeks you have a job ahead of you but you can do it. They are way too young for solid food. Sounds like you have some good milk substitute altho' I'm not familiar with it. I raised some young ones like that on canned goat milk. Why don't you see if you can find the mother and move her someplace safe and put the kittens with her and see if she will take care of them. Ask your parents if you can put them in a garage or laundry room. They need to be warm and safe. If you don't think you can handle it, try finding the number of any no kill animal shelters around you and call for help. Ask them when you call if they are NO kill. Look for a Humane Society or SPCA-Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the yellow pages. Your local pound will put them down so bypass them but they may be able to give you the number of a no kill group. Call the zoo and tell them what you are looking for-animal lovers stick together. These organizations can help you in many ways because they may take them off your hands and the kittens will need shots and good homes eventually. You have a good heart to rescue these animals. Hope I've helped.

you can take the kittens to the pet store isntead tommarrow cause if you cant keep them then you can ask some one who own the pet store willin take care of them til they do get youngers ages and put them on adoptions after. or you can keep them as pets til they get olders and then you own them for long time . then you can find out whose a male or female and gave them names so that whenever youre planning to gave them away they will have a names already by you. naw, you dont nee d to do much now with them wither theyre already have a warm place to sleep for night . you can go to the store and but a kitten dry foods ?not the canned cans because theyre on the recall lists news . if you have some tunes you can gave them little bit for lunch and dinner so that they wouldnt be so hungery all night. thats sound wonderful that you had saved those kittens if you didnt then those boys will just did something to harm them .

Honestly, it is an overwhelming task even for a person, experienced with cats, I would recommend you try to find local humane societies, they are better equipped and skilled for that.
I had to foster a number of kittens, and it very, very difficult.
Now the need for every cat being spayed is way too obvious...

your doing great, but they have to be feed every 3 or 4 hours. also try to get them a hetting blanket or something to keep them nice and cozy. oh yeah when you are done feeding them its best to rub their belly it helps them diggest faster and pop better. good luck with them.
