Those Iraqis were Shittes who are trying to take control of the country away from the Kurds and Sunnis. They are upset still that the US toppled Suddam and think if they leave they will be back in power.

The protestors were actually in the saddam party. they are no longer rich and powerful. They are mad....they are the ones that wanted a man in power who gassed, raped, and killed his own daughter's husbands.
