Where do they get them from? Why dont they have Ak's which are much more cheaper? i've seen child soldiers with M16's in Thailand, weird.

They ha recieved them when the USA gave them military aid since these two countries are our allies however M16's and the M16 family of weapons system are not that expensive and can be found on the black market cheap. Also they can be purchased anywhere from on the Internet to gun stores and are made by many countries and many companies. Many different variants of it are being manufactured in other countries including Thailand and Malaysia etc. Why not use AK family of weapons or other Soviet BLOC weapons?
