Not long. I remember being wheeled into the procedue room. Next thing I remember is the nurse saying "we're done."
Don't plan on doing much the rest of the day. I slept most of the afternoon, then I was fine.

The anesthesia they use, they turn you off and on likea light.

Good luck.

It depends on how sensitive you are to it and how much you get. It usually goes away fairly quickly (unless you are very sensitive or unless they give you a big dose). However, it would not be a good idea to drive for the rest of the day, and you would not want to make any important decisions, either. Don't be surprised if you forget important things that happened while you were under the influence. That is very common. Good luck with the endoscopy.

Don't sweat it. It's not as bad as you're imagining. Don't let your fears get a hold of you. People have this done every day and every one of them says I don't remember a thing and I took a nap later. The end. You can do it!
