there is this one girl i like in class..we barely talk..im not even sure if she knows my name, i told her to a few of her friends and my friends and most of them tell me not to go after her because they say that she is bad influence. they also say that she is usually not interested in straight edge guys like me. but i still like her. should i go after her or jus give up ?

i think you should listen to your friends & her past behaviour, these are best indicators to go by...it is obvious you have a gut feeling & possibly feel you ought not pursue her, as you are here asking not sure. i would look at her only as a friend for now, maybe in a few months - a year she may grow up alittle...you will find that yr gut instinct will serve you well in years to come, good luck...

If you decide to, remember that she is not going to change for you. She will always be just what she wants to be. You will need to be able to accept her and all of her little "faults"
If she really is a bad influence, you might want to think about not involving yourself. It could cause you to lose your respectful friends, and maybe even get mixed up in something that could jeopardize your future.

You don't say how she could be a bad influence. If you give up, then you might always regret it. Ask her out and see what happens. Your friends may truly have your best interest at heart or might be just bit jealous.
