Yes. I experienced God directly when I was seventeen. I'm not religious, have a strong scientific background, training in formal logic (which is NOT the same as common sense), have read many of the religious texts from most religions, and have had a catscan, a psychologist check me out (to be sure I hadn't had a psychotic break, as it was quite an experience to write off as real without checking), and have never taken drugs (got drunk twice in four decades).
I received no message, no mission, was left utterly SURE I was not better that my fellow man/woman, and although the experience left me with a few benefits and utterly changed my life for the better, I have no following, book or even a soapbox save Yahoo! Answers.
Nor do I expect anyone to believe me (it would be silly just on my word, don't you think?).
I know there is a God. I experienced everything, everywhere, everywhen, simultaneously, for about five ours (well, not with my "I" intact, but let's not get too complex). I don't "believe" God exists.
This is not proof save very inductive indication (testimony).
I encourage healthy skepticism in your search, and be careful of anything that feeds your self-image and requires you act superior in any way. You may have some superior skills in some ways (worse in others), but never see others (or anything) as inferior or superior or even equal. It is not an accurate way to see reality (actually there are no "accurate ways", but that's another discussion).
Keep searching. We might meet on the "path" (it's actually a very wide plain) someday (if you don't mind a detour into figurative language).

It's for sure an established order in the universe that we could call god, but it's very unlikely that this force would care of each individual, the universe goes in a direction and the events occur randomly. You are a living being now, and it is caused by a series of coincidental facts, impossible to happen a second time or at least more difficult than gain the super lotto 10 consecutive times.
When people prayers, no god will listened, and if there are positive outcomes it's due to coincidental or suggestive causes

Consider this : An archaeologist digs deep into the desert sand and finds a piece of an old clay pot. After his investigations, this archaeologist can tell us, from this little old piece of dusty clay, so much about the civilisation that existed thousands of years ago that produced it; he can tell us about the types of ovens, temperatues, and dyes that they worked with, the raw materials that they used, and thus assess the level of their artistic skill and technological ability, etc. All this from a small piece of clay lying in the desert.
Did this archaeologist ever see the civilisation that produced this pot ?
How does he know that it ever existed ?
He knows because he saw that the piece of clay was produced by someone who designed it, and shaped it, and had the intelligence to be able to heat it and produce the pot, and not only that, they also had the ability to colour it and make it look beautiful.
Design ==> Designer.
To the archaeologist the existence and intricacy of the piece of pottery is conclusive proof of the existence, intelligence and ability of the people who made it.
Look around you: at the beautiful sunset on a summer evening, at the moon and the stars on a cloudless night, at the water that you drink, at the trees and how they grow from tiny seeds.
Think about yourself: your eyes with which you see, your ears with which you hear, your tongues with which you taste and talk, your hands and your feet, your heart and your brain.
Consider how these things are so complex in themselves and yet work together in such perfect harmony.
From the movement of the galaxies to the complexities of the interaction of molecules, from the dynamics of eco-systems to the intricacies of DNA, all lead to the obvious fact of the existence of the great Wisdom, Knowledge and Power that allows our Universe to exist and function.
To any perceptive person the existence and intricacy of creation is conclusive proof of the Existence, Knowledge and Wisdom of the One who creates, organises and sustains it.
Most people naturally recognise the existence of the Creator, and we find reference to the Creator in all cultures and religions. Even the atheists, communists and (disbelieving) scientists cannot avoid this reality, but avoid the term 'creator', for phrases like 'Mother Nature' and 'the amazing way nature has designed...'
How strange in the face of this, that many today reject the belief in the existence of the Creator. Perhaps this is due more to fashion and the desire to justify a materialistic attitude to life rather than real observation and comprehension of reality.
Something stranger still, and perhaps another reason for the trend to deny the Creator, are those who claim that a man, or men, who walked on the earth, breathed air, who had bodies and souls subject to the Laws of the Universe, are the Creator, or manifestations of the Self-Subsistent One.
This is of course a complete contradiction in terms. Something cannot be the Creator and created at the same time, needing air, food and drink and being self-sufficient, being temporary and eternal!
If you are one of those who believe that a man such as Buddha, or Krishna, or Jesus is the Creator and Controller, then think again.
We were created from a drop of despised fluid, in which was a microscopic sperm, which in turn fertilised a microscopic egg and we grew in our mother's womb in stages predetermined, over which we had no control. We came from our mother's womb, urinating and defecating, needing constant attention and care. Without food we will die, without air we will die ... and then such a one is God?
Indeed any intelligent person would recognise exactly how dependant life, the universe and everything is on its Creator. Our dire need for His help makes itself plain in times of great distress.
Imagine yourself in an aeroplane and you know it is going to crash...
Who do you turn to for help then ?
Or on a ship in the sea, thrown helplessly up and down by towering waves ...
There will have been a situation at one time or the other in your life when you called upon your Creator alone, forgetting everyone and everything else, hoping, trusting, wishing that the Being you know in your heart and soul that has power and control over all things would help you. The only One you know can save you!

Well don't you think there is a big difference from you and a say a creature from the sea? How many millions and millions of years do you think it would take us to be human from say dog? or a plant. There is not enough time for this to happen and so yes there is something and that you may call god or anything you might want to call it.

Contrary to what most people think, belief in God is not virtuous or righteous, nor is it a sign of intelligence or integrity. Belief is generally indicative of ignorance and unawareness, despite what so-called religionists and moralists attempt to depict. Belief in God does little good at all; in fact, it is the cause of an atrocious percentage of wars and conflicts humanity has fought over the millennia. Nearly every group that has fought in war has believed in a god who was on its particular side. Each cult or faction which has won has believed that its god provided it with the win; and each that has lost has believed that its god abandoned it. As it turns out, it is egotism to believe that some god person is on your side and opposes your enemy. Every side or individual in a conflict or debate believes this conceit, and each is wrong.
Blind belief, whether in God or anything else, is not only ridiculous and immature, it is dangerous, as is evidenced by the countless murders and atrocities committed by believers over the millennia, and by violent acts that will continue to be committed so long as humans think it virtuous and righteous to believe in an anthropomorphic god who is separate from themselves. Such an opinion is not virtuous at all; on the contrary, it is lowly and base, and the mark of a poor intellect.
Belief in God is not a sign of piety and godliness but of ignorance and incomplete realization and evolution of consciousness. No person drowned in belief and delusion can be whole, can be his or her own authority. Any such person is controllable by outside authority, cannot think for him or herself, and does not move on his or her own authenticity. He or she is not autonomous. He or she is not free. Such a person is not in tune with the force of creation and is therefore not creative. The center of creativity of a believer is clogged up and closed down.

Yes there is a God and He loves you. Try a few churches until you find one you're comfortable at and learn more about God. You will soon be answering other when they ask this same question.

No.
Maybe.
Scientific theory points to NO.
But then there are things that just don't make sense.
I'm going to hell if there is one. I hope they have margaritas there.
Sounds to me like you're agnostic!
Oh look, the bible says i'm a fool. How nice. Lovely to believe a book, yes?
What a wonderful way to welcome people to your faith, or should i say obsession.
Please, don't force your religion on others. If you choose to believe there is A god, than believe that. Everyone else doesn't have to. Have faith without religion, if you must, but you could put your efforts elsewhere and be good and kind and then not have to worry about sins and hell in the end, anyway.

There is a God. Otherwise how do you explain someone I am friends with who is invisible and tells me things and other people come up and tell me that they felt like God told them to tell me something and they end up telling me word for word what God just told me. If you honestly want to know some of the actual stories then you can email or IM me. Ok. God bless. Believe me he is real. I know for a fact. Just keep searching and you will find if you are honesly looking. Not because you made it up either like most people will say. Just pray to God for him to show himself to you. First take an act of faith and submit your life to him, confess that you have sinned and turn from those ways and accept Christ into your life that is all you have to do. But honestly even if you do not feel ready to say that prayer then I will pray that You find God and that God searches for you more and shows himself to you in a way that you cannot deny. May God bless you and Keep you.

Yes there is. I think you know it too or you wouldn't ask, do you feel like their is an empty place in your heart ? Just pick up a bible and start reading. Everyone is a sinner and the punishment should be death and that we go to hell but JESUS gave his blood on the cross for you a long time ago and now you are forgiven of those sins just ask Jesus into your heart and let him guide you. Please just get a bible and start reading it and get plugged into a church.
