The RB-51 may have more of an initial "wow!" factor,
but the IQ1 will be easier to live with and listen to for
extended periods of time. You should be pleased at
KEF's overall sound quality -the stereo imaging too!

Hi.Loudspeakers are the most notorious part of a high fidelity sound system.Everybody has their favorite which is right for them.It is only natural to recommend the ones they have to other people in search of the "best".
You seemed to have made your mind up already and yet you are asking for an opinion between two brands ?
Lets say you want to know and you haven't pre-ordered the Kef's and you haven't listened to either of them.I will tell you what i think.
Klipsch speakers in general have a fairly bright sound which dominates the room. They are very efficient and do not need a powerful amp to drive them. Their sound would suit most types of music but may sound a little stringent with classical music.
I have always admired British loudspeakers . They tend to have a very neutral sound (low coloration) are well built and can handel all types of music equally well. They tend to be lower in efficiency and need more amplifier watts.
If i was after new speakers i would have no hesitation in buying the Kef's.

wow two totally different types of speakers,
For home theater applications and low powered recievers Klipch are hard to beat they are effiecient and athorative. yet to me play some light jazz, and they are a bit bright and harsh. there the Kef's are much better, but the kefs certainly do not make thier presence known as well as the Klipch would.

Find a store that has both.
Take a CD or more of your favorite music, music that you are very familiar with and listen to the same track on each set of speaker you like.
I sat in a listening room at one of the stores here for a couple of hours and had them switch the speakers back and forth numerous times before I settled on my Klipsch. I am really glad that I took them for the test run too.
Good luck and buy what sounds good to your ear because you're the one paying for them and you'll be the one listening to them!

I think you might have answered your own question, if they sound better to you then you will enjoy them. As long as the speaker manufacturer is reputable and has a good track record on quality you can't go wrong. I wouldn't match these speakers with any small Infinity HTiB subwoofers though. Spend a little more and get a quality sub.

This is a 64,000 question. I am an audiophile for 25 years, and still dont have the answer.
I suggest to check-out NHT Classic Three (or Four). I loved them! Three's can be found for about $325 on the net. They are highly rated by most audiophile pulications (stereophile for example).
