Have you tried straightening it? I'll advice using a relaxer for children like Beautiful Beginings. Its very Gentle on the hair. or you can try this new technique called Rebounding. It is permanent and last for up 2 a year.

Mine is straight up to my shoulders then goes into ringlets, and it only stays straight for a few hours. My hair is quite thick as well. It's harder to keep thick hair straight

Mine does the same thing, except my hair isn't short. But I think it's the humidity. And my hair is also really thick. That might also be a factor.

What straighteners do you use? They might not be hot enough. To help, why not try a straightening balm which you put onto wet hair and blow dry. xx

Maybe humidity, depending on where you live. Try hairspray or a light gel for hold.

You need to brush it four time a day and take a shower at least twice a day. You have to train your hair.
