A person asks if it is normal for their partner to not be ready fro sex after six months. If the partner is female then she's not ready and he simply has to wait as this is normal. If the partner is male then they should be having a serious discussion of what's whats wrong with him. Why are women allowed to wait til the the end of time and be respected, yet a man must have something wrong with him if he does the same?

To me, waiting for the time/feeling to be right before having sex is perfectly fine - for a man or a woman. I think that everyone is entitled to make that decision, regardless of sex, according to their own beliefs and thoughts.
The problem is society has spent years portraying the man as the hunter/sexual aggressor and the woman as the passive partner. So some people believe that sex is all young males think of, and they are "not normal" if they have self-control, and enough self-respect to wait til its right for them.
I say if its not right for you, don't give into the pressure. You are doing what is right for you, and not hurting anyone else, so go for it! And doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with you at all!

Very good question. It's just human nature. Maybe it's because women have to carry children and bleed and this is one way of making things even. Just a thought.

it's not the same at all. if a person thinks it is, they haven't thought about it very carefully...
either sex can require a period of time for "getting to know one another" or whatever they'd like to call the getting-comfortable phase.
