If my cat wants something from me and thinks she can get it bu rubbing up against me then she's right. She got me all figured out. And if I fall for her shallow attempt at confusing me then she'll love me all the more cause she'll take me as her own little sucker.

When cats rub against you with their cheeks, they are marking you as their property.
Cats do care for their owners. It's just that many people do not recognize how this care is displayed since they are much different from dogs in showing affection. People would tend to think cats should act like dogs in showing affection, which isn't the case.

I wouldn't say that cats lie. They are just naturally independent and they don't have much use for us humans except to feed them, that is all they keep us around for. We bring them in to our homes, the don't bring us in to their homes so it is our responsibility to take care of them for the 18 or so years they are alive. Not all cats are that way though i have had several that just loved to be loved on whether i was in the mood for it or not. Right now i have one that sleeps with me every night and purrs me to sleep. Plus if you think about it, it is the same with kids. We provide for them, clothe them and house them but the only time they show us love is when they want something. Hhhmmm are the kids lying too?

My Prints loves to be picked up and hugged. She makes me hug her for 10 minutes, before I go to work. When I come home from work, it is the same thing. Before I take my jacket off, I have to hug her for 5 to 10 minutes. If I do not, she gets mad at me and will sulk all night. I almost lost her at Christmas. They wanted to put her to sleep because she was so sick. You cannot tell that she was sick now. She is as healthy as can be. The only difference is that now she requires the hugs.

Not true. My cat rubs up against me he wants affection. When he wants something from me he makes this weird meow-squawking sound. He really does love me. Not ALL cats are cold and sneaky. It depends a lot on how they are raised.

When a cat rubs up against your leg and kind of bumps you with his butt he is actually sent marking you as 'his human'.

i disagree with you there. Apparently this neighbor's cat seems to always rubs itself around me even though it knows i ain't got no food. even though i never fed it, because it's my neighbor's, it still rubs itself.
