I was wondering if your son asked if he could wear colored underwear(briefs) to school? What colors did you buy , Did your son ever say how kids at school wear different colors? What influenced your son to make the choice to switch?

Unless your child is in a gang or joining a gang, that is the only reason I can think for wanting a specific color of underwear. If he wants just colored underwear in general, take him to the store and show him the different styles available. Those tightie whities are not comfortable for some kids and some don't like loose boxers. Let him decide for himself. We let our grand kid decide when he was 6. Just be happy your kid wants to wear underwear, color makes no difference.

WHAT? Do you only have white underwear where you are from? In Australia we have all colours, patterns, styles etc. Whats the big deal? My oldest only wears boxers these days and my 5 year old son wears nothing at all under his shorts...just like his dad. I don't see what the problem is!

What is the big deal with wanting coloured underwear, there are could be a lot worse things that your son could be asking you today.
Just buy him the underwear and let him enjoy it

Nobody likes to wear "tighty-whiteys" anymore! I just buy the boys colored underwear, and they wear them, no objections.

In the whole scheme of things, is it that important. Maybe if you only buy him white ones he could be getting teased at school,kids can be cruel. Take him shopping and let him choose.

they sell underpants in all colours so whats the big problem buy him what he wants and if any of his friends laugh at him then he will go back to the plain ones.
