Right now he has a pickup truck and we need to get rid of it. He is 6"6' and needs to fit comfortably. I want it to be 4-door and be good on gas milage. Yes we (he) will test drive cars, but curious if anyone has good recommendations? It can be either a sedan OR small SUV. No mini-vans or station wagon looking automobiles! Also, probably under $30,000 approximately and new - not used. Thanks in advance.

I am in the Chicago area. The Yahoo Answers must be shared with Canadian Yahoo, but I am NOT in Canada. And I see the suggestions for SUV's which I love. (I actually have a Toyota RAV4 so I don't need to be sold on Toyotas at all!) We are really leaning toward sedans because they are usually better on gas milage. Any suggestions for sedans?????

Several years ago I met a couple at the Chicago Auto Show who had just returned from their month long honeymoon in London. He is 6'10" & she is 5'2" tall.
They had driven a Focus in England & loved it.
They were very excited about the interior space. It was the only vehicle that they both could comfortably drive. After driving one for an entire month, they bought one here.
They recently traded it in for an Escape.

Both the Focus & the Escape are being restyled for '08
The '08 Focus is not yet available but the '08 Escape is.

They Focus gets great gas mileage & is very highly rated by consumer reports. With currant Ford incentives, you could probably get TWO sedans with your $30,000 budget.

BUT I would recommend the Hybrid Escape! The remainder of the '07's have 0% financing for 60 months AND a $500 rebate! The Hybrid Escape is THE most fuel efficient SUV on the market & has THE biggest Federal tax incentive available of ALL the Hybrids on the market!

I am in the Chicagoland area & I work for a very reputable dealer (family owned & operated, 26 yrs) I would be happy to answer all your questions about these vehicles.

By e-mailing me through Yahoo!Answers your idendity is safe (as is mine) & you can ask all you want.
But since you also are in the same region as I am, you can "get to know" me, so to speak, by reading through my previous Q & A's before contacting me if you want to.

I look forward to hearing from you!

in the adventure that your paying for a vehicle to your sixteen twelve months previous daughter there are 2 methods i could pass. One could be to get her a small vehicle. so some distance as small autos, some thing like the Honda Civic or Honda Accord could do completely. the two autos are risk-free, maximum Civics get approximately 35mpg, some get closer to forty. they are great, sturdy autos, and that they rather risk-free and sturdy. A vehicle thats in all probability slightly extra safer is a Honda Accord, it has extra area then a Civic, its gas is truly much less, they get approximately 30mpg highway. that's nonetheless no longer undesirable, far extra powerful than an SUV. any incorrect thank you to pass is supply her the truck she needs. I had a 4Runner, it replace into an spectacular vehicle. in the adventure that your getting a used one i propose you get one that is 1996 or extra moderen. I had a ninety 5 and my brother in regulation had a ninety 8. The ninety 8 replace into extra powerful, it drove slightly extra powerful and it had extra powerful risk-free practices good factors. additionally the ninety 8 regarded extra powerful than my ninety 5 did lol. they are great autos, they get ok gas mileage, yet they are SUV's, so it does not get rather much as good as a small vehicle and that's high priced to top off. The 4Runner is unquestionably is a sturdy vehicle however, it could be safer than a sedan in maximum cases and it could make an spectacular vehicle to your daughter. If the 4Runner is what your daughters needs, and you will have adequate funds the gas, decide for it. They make great autos, very sturdy and risk-free. It replace into by skill of a few distance the perfect SUV I even have owned. it replace into rock sturdy, i placed that vehicle via lots and it never gave out!!! I offered it to a interior of reach guy and that i nonetheless see it around, great SUV!

Since this is the Canadian yahoo answers, I am guessing you're somewhere in Canada right now. So I would recommend you to go on www.autotrader.ca and check out the new 'SUVs' section and you'll be able to see the picks as well.
