Twin turbos and in japan 2+2 twin turbos are heavy. 0-60 less than 6 seconds 60-100 might take 16-18 seconds 1/4 mile stock around 100 mph time. All stock turbos are limited to 155 mph. Normally asperated non turbo add two to three seconds to acceleration times. Twin turbo cars are easily modified to make almost 400 hp. Then your talking push you back into the seat speed. BUY the very best Z car you can.

About the same as the current 350Z. Maybe a little slower. The 300ZX Twin Turbo was always 2 steps behind the Toyota Supra Turbo in performance.

The Z32 had been out since what 89-90? Toyota had their eyes on bigger prizes (cough) (Skyline GTR) and German competitors when they redesigned the MKIV Supra (which was way due for a redesign anyway). There was very little influence from the 300ZXTT. Equally modified, a Z would still lose to a Supra -- especially on the highway. I agree though, the Supras are indeed dyno queens who with all that horsepower and torque lose quite a few stop light sprints, but on the highway its a wrap!

In stock form they aren't the fastest thing out there but they are faster than most cars on the road. My Z32TT was running 13 second passes with an exhaust only. Thats still faster than quite a few cars out there.

As for the Supra comment from Tony B. When the Z32TT was unveiled, Toyota scrapped their current plans for the Supra so that they could develop a car that could compete with the Z32. I would hope that the Supra was faster after being designed to specifically beat the Z32. That being said, now that there is decent aftermaket support for the Z32, the supra's aren't any faster. Though there do seem to be quite a few more Supra dyno queens...

The 300zx is not a very fast car at stock level. It needs to be modified (bigger turbo etc) for it to be even considered quick.

I own a 1.6 litre turbo Pulsar and i leave 300zx's for dead, they are simply heavy buckets of crap.

stock is never real fast unless you are talking about Nissan Skyline r34; i never judge a car by what it is stock, you have to think about what it can be, when you finish.

300zx is much faster due to engine to engine if compared na to na or tt to tt.
