That's not a good way to lose weight. You body will go into starvation mode. Once in starvation mode, your body will hold on to the fat---in other words, your body won't let you lose weight.
A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. You can achieve this by eating 4-6 small (healthy) meals each day. Drink a lot of water. And, of course, exercise!

I'm an experienced faster.
If you are fasting for the first time and you don't eat well usually, fasting for a week would be very weakening.
If you're really pressured to lose weight really fast for some kind of party or something, do a juice fast. Drink juices all day and lots of water (but not together). You'll be able to do it for a week.
All the best
Just remember that after you do all this, you will gain everything back because you're looking for a quick fix...
Good luck

For one, you should not be starving yourself. The best way to lose weight is, if you are a male, don't eat over 2000 calories a day, female 15-1800. This has been working for me. Pay attention to how many calories are in a serving and write it down on a peice of paper and calculate your calorie intake throughout the day. As far as exercising, walking at a brisk pace for 45 minutes to an hour will help you to get some weight off of you. Especially if you are taking in a good amount of water while doing so.

Well you can limit your "bad" carbohydrates, but any quick diet is NOT a permanent weight loss. You need to change your lifestyle to bring about that degree of weight loss. Also, by essentially starving or at least depriving yourself, you are forcing your body into "starvation mode." Essentially, not eating enough will cause you to hold onto what you have and you are more likely to NOT lose weight!!! Your body knows when it is not getting the required calories, fat, etc. that it needs to function well and will hang onto every little bit that you do consume in order to keep you alive and functioning. Exercising, again, unless it is a continual habit, will only result in building muscle (this is good, but muscle is heavy) and any short term weight loss you have will probably be only water weight. Not eating for a week is a very bad idea, you may want to rethink that one.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

It's a rather large misconception that if you don't eat, you will lose weight. That is NOT entirely true!
After your body senses that it won't be getting food for a while, it will slow down its metabolic processes, so you will actually burn LESS fat while in "starvation mode". This is your body's natural survival mechanism to keep you alive as long as possible.
That being said, eating very little also can lead to immune function problems, because your body will start to digest antibodies (source of protein) for energy.
I feel the best thing to do is to take in a decent amount of carbohydrates (~75% total calories), and decent amounts of protein (~12% total calories) and fat (~13% total calories), and exercise at least 2 hours per day. Don't eat large meals; instead, eat smaller portions more frequently (i.e. 5-6 smaller-portion meals spread throughout the day)...this trains your body into constantly burning fuel (to digest the food you've eaten) and keeps your basal metabolic rate (resting metabolism) high.
Good luck!!

You don't need to lose weight, you need to gain weight. You need to eat more calories then you burn! You should be eating 1500-2000 calories a day! You have a major eat disorder and need to get help. You should be between 108-125 pounds, thats healthy. The weight you are is extremely unhealthy. Even 108 pounds is unhealthy. Eat more calories, and seek help from a doctor. Eating 250 calories a day will not give you enough energy to function, and you will probably pass out from exhaustion.

For the first few days you will see less than 5lbs of water weight/ food weight come off. This will not be fat, just the abscence of food and water in your stomach. After the first day your bloodsugar will become uncontrolled and your body will immedeatly convert anything you do eat into fat to save itself from starvation. (And no, eating food without fat will not stop this from happening, calories get turned into fat by your body, so low-and no-fat foods are a joke if they are high in calories!) So once you resume eating you will actually have more fat cells in your body and end up weighing more in the long run, plus put yourself at risk for developing blood sugar disorders. You wont lose weight this way, even if they scale says you weight less its temporary water weight which will not significantly impact you appearance. Also your body may store water causing bloating, leading you to look larger, rather than smaller.

You need nutrients... or else by the end of the time you will weak- just a ton of small protions, miniscule really... drink only water, and milk... try to keep lean protein in this diet, and some carbs... I may not know who you are, but I still do not want you to be passing out and becoming frail... also that is anorexic-like... trust me, been there multiple times- it's hard to bounce back, even from a week of doing so...

You can actually do your body more harm than good. You will slow down your metabolism and loose even less weight. The best thing to do is watch your carb and sugar intake, watch your calories, eat healthy, drink lots of water and excercise.
