my mother told me i could get it done; i have always wanted it!
one of my friends said that she broke out in hives and it hurt really bad, but i realllly want it! i was just wondering whether or not it's going to hurt a little or ALOT. i have my top holes on both ears done and two wholes on each side in my earlobs. i didnt think the top wholes hurt that much, other then when i touched it. please though im nervous and i need to know what to expect. im getting it done monday. :] thanks.

Do you like sleeping on that side of your head? You never will again. I do not have an industrial, but I have a rook and a tragus in both ears (12 gauge) and I still can't sleep on one side, almost 6 months later. Take very good care of it, keep it clean, keep your hair off of it. Make sure you go to a reputable piercer for this one. The first punch does not really hurt, because you are all full of adrenaline. But the second one, YOW!! The area is already inflamed from the first pierce, the adrenaline is GONE, and it hurts like heck. It may even bleed, so don't wear anything you don't want blood on. You can take a bit of Tylenol beforehand, that helps a little. Good luck!

What the heck is an industrial piercing? I must be older than I think I am if I don't know what you are talking about.

Are we talking about getting your cartilage pierced?!
If so, it doesnt hurt at all. I have my ears double pierced PLUS cartilage. The double piercings hurt worse than cartilage did. The only thing was the cartilage burned- it felt like my ear was on fire. it was just really hot, but it didnt hurt at all!!

O yes! my friend had hers done and she said that if it closes that she will never get it done again. It always gets infected, and it just never looks very nice.
