I sent for a renewal in Jan. '07, the address is on the internet, the cost has gone up significantly, the cost was about seventy dollars, with the two pictures from Walmart, it was over eighty bucks, this was for a RENEWal, an, you also have to send in your old passport , they have cashed my check over a month ago and I still have not recieved my new passport, has now been well over three months. So if you are in a hurrry, pay the extra fee to expedite things, I have no idea when I am going to get mine.

If send your application in directly, it can take a while. Even the "expedited" service directly can take sometime. I have clients who have used the "expedited" service, and it took almost 4 weeks. The reason it is taking so long, is because everyone has seemed to wait till the last minute to get their passports. Our company uses a service that gets you your passport in as little as 24 hours. Check out this website. On the home page as well as throughout the site, you will see a flashing icon that simply says, "Get your passport in 24 hours". The link will take you to the company that provides this service. Here is our company's website http://readyforvacation.com

Go to the Homeland Security office or dept of state or the post office.

It takes many weeks or months normally but you can get a rush for extra money.

The post offic charges for the service, so if you are in a big city, go directly to the passport office and save the money.

you can get applications at the post office or online. you will need two passport photos of yourself, which many photo shops and even places like kinkos will do; it costs approximately 50 bucks and you can pick expedited service if you are in a hurry. if it's the first one you have ever gotten, you may need a copy of your birth certificate.
