He does have a plan and purpose for you, but you have freedom of choice, and can therefore deviate from that plan. It wouldn't be wise or right, but it is an option. However, its important that people understand that God does not set you to fail. If anything, He provides us for the win - if we take it. If your child is jumping up and down on his bed, you know what's going to happen, right? He's going to hurt himself one of these days. So, as a wise and loving parent - you have a first aid kit in the house. Just because you know what's going to happen, doesn't mean you planned for it to. But you have a plan, if it does. And even though you've tried telling him - he doesn't listen, does he? So it is with God and man.

Yes, God has a plan for each and everyone of us. Yes, He knew us long before we were ever born. However...
I see where you want this question to go. It is obvious from your last statement you have issues with Christians. Even though He has made a plan for our lives, it doesn't mean that we do not have the freedom to choose how we live our lives. It means that if we serve Him and trust Him with our lives, He will reveal His plan for us which is far greater and more prosperous than we can imagine.
In Deut., God gives us two options. We can have either a blessing or a curse. We can make good decisions or bad decisions. Just to clarify, a curse is not like we think it is in voodoo or witch craft. But God goes one step further and encourages us to choose a blessing.
You see, He wants to give things to His children just for that reason alone. All we have to do is accept the fact that God is who He says He is and allow Him to work in us and through us every day. By doing that, we are saying that we want to do the will of our heavenly Father.
Let me put it another way. If you have children, you have probably thought about their future. You started to put money back for college, helped make plans for them and even introduced them to the "right" people. Then low and behold, they up and change their mind. You still help them in their choices but you know they have the option of returning to the comfort and security of doing what you have planned for them. Is this making any sense yet?
Now you know where this answer is going. Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

What it is saying is that God created us and gave us all a calender of time in which to live our lives. It is not saying that God makes us into robots and pre-programmed us. He created us and numbers our days. Because He is God, He knows what the outcome of our decisions and our life will be.
God does have a plan and purpose for everyone, He sets a road in front of us and we can choose to follow the road, or we can choose to go off the road, God does not make our decisions for us. How would we learn if it were not for the consequences of wrong decisions we make? God knows we will make bad decisions, He allows us to do this so we can learn and grow into maturity. If we never faltered or stumbled, we would never learn. Just like a baby learns to walk, it's a learning process.
God Bless You....Peace.

If David wrote this scripture, then I would interpret it to be David giving praise to God for all that He has done for him and in his own way, acknowledging God's involvement in his life. To say otherwise would be saying what your next question probably is, Did God toy with Davids life and does He toy with our life by making good things happen and then making us do bad things. Does He have it pre-planned for us to fail? I personally don't believe that.

Yes but now think past that. What book is He talking about? Bible. Now look into the recently found Bible code. It was founded and started by the top mathematical scholar we have. He did it by hand and then later put it on the computer.
When you run names in the program, we find them and meanings, dates, times, history with them. Now realize the bible is the bible, but it is made up of all those that walk with him. We are recorded in it, and all of our names, history's, dates, etc are what make up the very words, that He altered into the passages we see. For it takes code breaking to find the names and words.
Have to understand language and codes to help explain how this is possible. But He did create our languages, so since He is the creator, it can't be all that hard for Him to do.

Yes, that's exactly what its saying.
God knows everything about us.
He knows our thoughts, our heart.
"How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I could count them, they would
out number the grains of sand.
When I awake I am still with you." (Psalm 139: 17,18)
God thinks about us all the time.

Yup, God has a purpose for you and has mapped out your whole life. You can pick which steps you take in your life, but God always knows the endpoint.

The KJV says "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them."
So I think your interpretation is a bit simplistic. Personally, I wouldn't draw any conclusions about it without doing a word study. Sounds nice though.
