the problem i have with Bible is the versions, edits, re writes, Christian scholars admitting its been altered. No one after all these alterations can with a straight honest face say its still the uncorrupted word of God. Qur'an has never been altered, it has a very clever security feature, its very easy to memorize from cover to cover. that means millions around the world have it memorized, making it impossible to change by one word, by one letter, for it would be noticed immediatly.

I assume you are asking which is true, not which is better.
I also assume it is clear to you that both cannot be true (ie Who died on the cross, Jesus or Judas? Who did God ask Abraham to sacrifice? Isaac or Ishmael?).
Given this, Islam followed Christianity by 600 or so years. And the Koran states: For to them (Jews and Christians) was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book
Since archeological evidence suggests that the Old and New Testament manuscripts we have today are what Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, et al had, and since there is no evidence that there was ever a form of the Bible with the Islamic view of Biblical history, the Islamic notion that the Bible we have today is corrupted appears dogmatic but not factual.
Given this, I think it is one thing to reject the Koran as true but another thing to accept the Bible as true. However, Jesus has something to say about this:
The work God wants you to do is this: to believe in the One that God sent." - John 6:28-29
So, I think your work is just beginning if you plan to believe the Bible is actually true, and not just that the Koran is false or that the Bible is 'better' than the Koran.
A couple references follow:

Read the Qur'an and make your own assessment. I am a Mormon, and I can tell you that reading other people's religious documents won't hurt you, and will help you understand people better.
I believe Mohammed was called by God to teach the Arab people what they needed to know. The Bible is also directed to people of various nationalities - for instances, Luke is for the Greeks, Matthew primarily aimed at teaching Jews (hence the long genealogies). God speaks to people by prophets according to what they can accept and what will be good for them.
So how do you compare God's word to two different peoples? He knows what they need.

The Bible is not the word of God solely. It is a collaborative work written by a bunch of different people. I think that neither is better. When will the world realize that there's not always a best or a right answer? I think that something valuable could be learned from both works. You can have faith and believe in one while respecting the other. Good luck finding your answer.

Both are made man to control people not smart enough to think for themselves...Neither is any good IMO. Try the web site below to find the TRUTH about both books. Have a copy of a Bible / Qu'ran handy...This is one of the best web sites I've found.

The Quran was not made up. You have to remember that the Prophet Muhammad was illiterate and poor. There was no way that he could of made up something that still has relevence till today. I know many will disagree, but thats just because they are ignorant and narrow minded.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am a Roman Catholic, and I am very serious in my faith. But that's not why I like the Bible--on the contrary, I am Catholic BECAUSE I like the Bible.
In my humble opinion, the Quran is basically very similar to the Bible, but it has been changed up in some spots to match up with the message of Muhammad. As far as I can tell, these changes are historically false.
