David M - I never said that. I said that it varies from individual catholic to individual. It's their doctrine (which I list) that follows the dictates of men and not the Bible that is my point.

Hindus vary on how they see Jesus. Some believe that he is not God, but a great guru. Others believe that he is an incarnation of God (and therefore God).

Buddhists often believe that Jesus was an enlightened being, but they don't believe that Buddhas are "God." Some Buddhists do however believe in "gods." But the gods of Buddhism are not God like in Christianity. One is not supposed to take refuge in the gods, as one does the Buddhas. So perhaps - I'm not sure - some Buddhists would say Jesus is that kind of god. But I'd say more would say that if anything, he is a Buddha.

I am not aware of the status of Jesus in religions like Shinto, Taoism, Confucianism, Jainism or Sikhism. But I doubt if he plays a very big role in them. Well, I have heard that according to Taoists, Jesus is a Taoist Master. In fact, there is an interesting book comparing Jesus' teachings to Taoist teachings. But I don't think they consider him God or a god.

Sorry, that's all I can think of right now! Interesting question though.

True Christianity teaches that Jesus is the Son of God.

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

Just to clarify - MORMONS believe that Jesus is the Jehovah of the Old Testament and the Messiah of the New. We believe is the Lord and God of this earth, that He is our personal Savior and Redeemer. But, we do not believe Jesus Christ is God, the Eternal Father, we believe they are two separate beings, one in purpose and love, but definitly two distinctly different persons.

God is God...God has no equal, God has no form, God has
no colour, God has no darkness...God is the creator, sustainer
and protector of all lives.
There is none comparable unto God!

I Like your thoughts, you have researched well!

All of the prophets have come to give man the same message...know who you are and your relationship to the Father and strive diligently to return home! And by the way, during the journey, love your fellow man....

Yes we Witnesses do recognise Jesus as the son of God. As I understand it so do the Methodists, of course this is just based on King of the Hill

To be honest with you, I don't think of Jesus in a religion at all, and I really don't think Jesus and religions go together...they are so very different from each other, none of the religions I have learned of fits Jesus at all...Blessings
