They're both idiots. When I was young, my father beat up my mother and my mother cheated on my father. Now both of them avoid me like the plague, but when they see me just whine and complain about how little they get to see me. I say if you want to see me, then just come over. Of course they don't. My father is married to an idiot and my mother's longterm boyfriend is a welfare case on the lookout for a new girlfriend. I agree with the premise that people should honour their parents, but the only way I can honour them is by being true to myself. I've had enough of their bull manure.

I prefer My Mother.
My family has been through a lot enough to where at some points in my life i did not want to live. But my mother always came out strong. On top of everything with her intelligence, bravery, honesty and loyalty. Most of all her determination and courage that has kept my small little family together. In my eyes my mother is my idol and hero..<3( I <3 My Mom:)

I think that depends on who you can relate to more, for me personally, I use to be a lot closer with my dad when I was younger, but that I am older, I am closer to my m om because I have become a mother, I have more in common with her than my dad, don't get me wrong I love them both, but really there are a lot of things only my mother can relate to.

personaly I don't perfer either, I love them both the same, but they're better at different things, like I would rather watch a movie with my dad cause he doesn't cry at stupid parts and stand in front of the the TV when there are a few violent scenes but I perfer to talk to my mom about personal things than my dad cause my mom usually understands while my dad ... he doesn't as much, :)

as a child... my mother... as a teen.. neither.. but now that am an adult i seems to only be able to relate to my father.
my mom has become a very bitter... mean woman... to everyone in the family.. including her grand kids.
she gets jealous if my dad does anything for me.. or my brother, or the kids.. its really very sad...
so.... my dad.. by a long shot

to just shoot the breeze with my mother
to deal with issues my father.
my dad is faster to get an issue dealt with. My mother just makes it her problem and then uses it against me later.
overall I like them equally...however I am a bit of a daddy's girl..even still at 20.
