that the bible was written by man and has no grounds for proof of divine inspiration.

but it is ok for you to say that the bible is the ultimate single truth of the world. and that all other religions no matter their age or spiritual bleiefs. are the work of your own dark god Satan. and that all followers of every other religion are going to burn in a hell that was made up by your religion?

and you wonder why there are people that do not believe in god, or gods?

You are living in an imaginary world of your own mind. There are no Christian theocracies that I know of. In the U.S. we have a long tradition of separation of church and state. What "it is ok"? You are free to subscribe to whatever beliefs you wish. Religious bigotry is offensive, however - but no,not illegal. I gather you imagine there are unnamed millions out there trying to force their beliefs on you. I couldn't care less what your beliefs are,nor does anyone else, probably. Nobody is bothering you. On this site, the problem is not Christians forcing their beliefs on others - it's the other way around. A lot of extremely aggressive proselytising by atheists. In any event, you sound unhappy...understandable.

It shouldn't be offensive. I think you're on to something here. The Bible was written by man (inspired by God), but the reality is, there is no proof that it is from God, or that there is a heaven or a hell, or anything for that matter. We all believe what we believe by faith. If you think the Bible is true than you believe this by faith. if you think it isn't than you also believe this by faith (since neither of us can prove otherwise).

But something to think about, when you look at the world around you, it's AMAZING!!! Design, beauty, complexity...logically speaking this should mean that it was designed or created by something or someone. Who is it and what do they require of us? It's no proof of the Bible, but sure does make the Bible look that much more truthful doesn't it?

There is no way to have "proof" in the sense you are talking about of divine inspiration for a lot of the bible it is historical accounts of events. You can believe what you want to believe i personally don't judge others and say they are going to hell because i am a worthless sinner as well and only God can give me redemption and it is his place to judge people not mine. Maybe you should take a look at the way you are condeming people and generalizing. In fact i don't know any christians at all that act in that way so maybe you should stop being prejudice towards a group of people because of encounter you have had with a few.

The bible was written by man...the apostles. They were written proof that Jesus walked the earth. The bible can only inspire if you have faith and believe. So you say you cannot believe what you can't see? You can't see love, yet you believe in it. You can't see your future, yet you believe in it. Why is it so hard to believe in God?
Now a final question for you. Every book in the bible was documented as it happened. What book was was written but never happened? REVALATIONS it talks of the end, when christ will come again!

It's just the truth. The truth doesn't have to be pleasing to people.
