If a man was accussed of murder and there was 12 eye witnesses that saw him do it, would he be convicted?
They all saw Jesus be killed, at his death the sky darkened and they felt a earthquake and the temple curtain was ripped into. The Guard said, "this was God's son"
Burried in a grave. Then he came to them and his twelve disciples saw him. Acts 1: He appeared to them for forty days before they saw him ascend to heaven.
while he was here he raised the dead, healed the sick and walked on water. Was it one persons account?
NO, four seperate men wrote similar accounts of his life.
Who lived in different parts of the country. It was only much later that the bible was put together and remarkablely the stories were the same. He fed the multitudes with a few fishes and some 5 loaves of bread. So it wasn't the ravings of a mad man. He didn't even write the bible others told of his life. There is no question it was true, men were willing to die for their beliefs, so they saw somthing.
the bible has facts the people of that day didn't know.
About sanitation and health issues. No one questions the bible. Just maybe the way religon uses it to control the masses. the book is authenic and factual.

Wow. OK. too many questions in one question.
To me, it's not such an issue whether I believe it to be true or not, because I find it as a comfort. It's a seek and yee shall find thing. I find answers in there that work. And after the crap that I've been through in my life, I'm all about what works. People get sooo caught up in whether or not it's the truth, how do you know it was God's word.... I'm all about do you read it and find what your looking for? and sometimes, if you have something you read in the bible in the back of your mind, later on down the road a situation will come up, and you'll be thinking, " holy cow, that's why that verse was in the bible." It helps you avoid pain, by helping you avoid mistakes that will cause you or someone else harm. It's about helping, not about control. Get over the control thing, you'll be alot happier.

The one good reason for you to believe in the Bible is your salvation. The choice is up to you where you spend Eternity. And by the way, if you were to write a book you would be called an author. If you create the Universe then you are called God

This Historical Holy Bible, was written by the Apostles that lived in the days of Jesus. The Apostles says it is accurate. So that means it is Right. So why try to prove it is wrong, when it is so Right ? Start to read the Bible and I am encouraging you to start in the New Testament. Then go back to the Old Testament. In there it will tell you. The One Good Reason is this: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. There are thousands of GOOD REASONS to read and Believe .

Interesting; I've only counted a few answers so far that are borderline "Pascal's Wager", and even fewer that didn't cite the Bible itself as a reason that you should believe it, indicating that many completely missed the point of the question.
Unfortunately, your premise is inherently flawed. You are asking people of faith to defend their beliefs with reason based upon the only evidence that they have.
And since when have faith and reason ever been fond of one another? By its very nature, faith is a belief in something for which we have NO proof, and logical conclusions do not contain merit without proof.

There is no good reasons to believe the Bible. It's a man made object. It's filled with flaws.
Flaws in Mathematics, Morality, Chronology, Genealogy, Justice, and yes it even contradicts itself Theologically despite what Christians claim.
It's also filled with absurdities and mythology.

I can't and I won't. Sorry. Its all about faith and what you believe, not what a book tells you to believe.
Take the bible out of the equation. What do you see? What do you feel? I don't believe the bible in its entirety. But...I do believe what I have seen, felt and witnessed. I fully believe that when a person allows themself to truly see the world, they will decide on their own. I can't make that decision for you. Its your faith that is in question, not mine.

If the book is wrong then everybody will end up in the same place, wherever that is, but if the book is right, then all those who follow what it says will have everlasting life on earth, no more sickness, no more dieing or growing old, no more wars and crime and best of all your dead loves ones will come back to life.................Is that one good reason to believe.......

There are many reasons to believe in the bible.
1.) Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
2.) I think everyone should believe in something
3.) The bible makes sense
4.) The odds are greater than 1,000,000,000 to one that humans just appeared on earth and plus do you want to think of humanity as "Nature's Accident"?
5.) Jesus died for our sins so I think we should respect him
That is only a few of the many, many, many, many, many reasons

The interesting fact about the Bible,is it's continuity. It has been passed down by the generations. That isn't too amazing. But when the Dead Sea Scrolls were deciphered. It matched what we already had. That is amazing.
