Beer and wine are just about as ancient as humanity itself. I think wine's a little older, but don't quote me on that. Seems that mankind discovered the wonders of fermentation pretty early on in history and has been partying hardy ever since.

Now, now. You KNOW that beer was intelligently designed only for the consumption of the lower classes. Jesus specifically said that wine was for him and other Jews ONLY. That is why any Christian who drinks wine sins against God.

Oh, and I believe I got the quote wrong when I posted just now. It's "Necessity is the mother of invention". See what happens when you drink too much beer?

Gotta go now, Mummy has dinner ready (meat loaf, my favorite). Have a great night!

Wine is made for grapes. Grapes do not grow well in some places.

Beer is made from grain. Grain grows well in many areas where grapes do not.

Invention is the mother of necessity.
