can someone explain what this means?

I've never been asked out and i've never known of a guy liking me.. (im 16btw) so i naturally.. thought i was ugly or something.

i've recently accepted that im not ugly.. my friends are honest.. they dont tell the 'friend truth' they tell the truth truth.. and they all tell me im pretty.. and according to a guy friend.. not a girl.. a guy told me im not fat.. i know im not skinny... but im normal size.. with a good shape... im not flat chested by any means.. and i've never had anyone say anything about a bad attitude... and recently.. i've had dudes all over the place checking me out and one of my friends even told me that her brother was looking through her pictures and said i was hot...

so why the hell dont guys show interest in me? i may not be the most sociable person.. but everyone knows who i am... and i get along with almost everyone..

again.. whats up? the only person to ever show interest.. is my creepy lesbian stalker! and i just ignore her.

i dont get it.

oh..btw.. my mom says its probably because i dye my hair red.. she says guys dont like girls who dye their hair.. especially red... is that true? because all of my friends who are guys think no differently about natural haired girls and girls that dye their hair.

i wouldn't think being the only redheaded girl at my school would make a difference.. just make me feel different.

Well, your additinoal detail really helped. See, guys like natural beauty. That means we don't really like girls that dye their hair, dress too slutty ,or have too much make-up. And just because you're pretty, which I think you are, it doesn't necessarily mean guys will "show" interest in you. I mean, there ARE guys that are interested in you (trust me, there is, from the description of you), but they're not showing it in fear of either rejection or they just don't want a relationship now. I mean, you are 16. I'm also in high school, and I see it all the time.

Well, why don't you try asking some of the guys out?

If you're looking for reasons as to why they may not be asking you out, then

1) If they know you dye your hair, they're probably wondering if anything about you is genuine, including your figure which they'll almost certainly assume is all padding.

2) Guys almost always ( no matter what they say) go for girls with long, natural hair in preference to other girls

3) Guys almost always go for friendly, smiley girls.

nothing is wrong with you or how you look.........guys that cheak you out know you and you see whats inside of you that makes you attraive to them........most guys go for looks and all that but there are guys that truly like girls for who they are and for whats inside them........dont ever think you are not attractive..... its great that you have great friends that know that you a pretty........i hope i have helped you......if you need more advice just ask me...
