If that priest refused to give you Anointing of the Sick, then something is wrong. There is no limit to how many times someone can receive that Sacrament. If you're truly sick, then you deserve to get it. You should speak up, maybe there's another priest at your parish? If not, then honestly you should maybe ask him why he refused. If he smirks at you again or something like that, I would switch to a different parish where I'm more welcomed.

The Bible says let the sick call for the elders of the Church and let them anoint the sick with oil etc. Your priest must have personal issues of faith regarding God's ability to heal. Personally I would change religions because there is very little in the doctrines of the Catholic Church that I believe. But since you evidently believe in the Catholic Church you might try another parish.

I would rejoice that I am alive! Don't spoil your precious life, do not waste your strength on your parish priest, express gratitude to God and if you feel the need, ask for the sick sacrament from somebody else--perhaps the priest at the hospital. Be well!

In my religion, you can ask for a blessing no matter what problem you are having. We believe that God will answer your prayers, and will give you the help you need through the proper priesthood channels. I have had many blessings answered, and have seen many people healed from them.

We believe that any Elder can do anointing. If you need a blessing, look into our church. They won't turn anyone away, no matter what they believe!!

Get out of that Awful so called church. Any Christian who is an Elder(mature) in the Word can Annoit you.

Our instructions:

Jam 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Jam 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

This oil is olive oil that has been blessed by GOD.
1636 elaia elaia el-ah'-yah
feminine of a presumed derivative from an obsolete primary; an olive (the tree or the fruit):--olive (berry, tree).

"El ah Yah", just happens are two of GODs names.

Jam 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Jam 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

It says in the Bible when someone is in the need of prayer for healing or whatever we are to pray for that person, that priest must have gotten up on the wrong side of bed, he was wrong at refusing to pray you and you sure can bet it didn't make God happy either..I would walk away and find another church, but of course that is up to you, but if it was me I would...By the way I will be praying for you, then strokes are nothing to mess with, so your in my prayers and well as on my prayer list too..God Bless and take care of yourself too, please...

Go to another priest. There is no limit to the number of times.\
However, it is usually not necessary to receive the sacrament more than bimonthly.

I've never known any Elder or high priest in the LDS Church to refuse such a request. We take it most seriously.
