The term "God" could mean anything...making it a neutral and often times meaningless word that people spend way too much time arguing about...

People who "believe" in "God" are simply doing what they want to do...they give definition to the word and apply it however they want - negatively or positively. In your private life the word is as important as you want it to be.

"God" aside, in the end it's what we do for each other that will make the world a better place. Not arguing and fighting over meaninglessness and silly religious traditions that were developed before the age of modern Science and medicine.

Do your best to promote scientific learning and rational thinking and don't worry about it. Man will always have an obsession with a "higher power" so we might as well get used to it...

Dude, all you have to do is believe in God and Jesus Christ our savior!!! It's that simple.

If God is a jerk, then you and everything you currently own will not exist, nor will anything that has ever been made or thought of and even time itself will not exist.

Yea it sucks that you think that way. In my case I'd rather be with God and Jesus and all the prophets than burning forever and ever in a lake of fire and my worse fear happening to me over and over again. I would much rather go through some tough times here being a Christian than live a life of doing what I want and pleasing my self now for a short period of time and taking no reagard to it and possibly burning in hell for it. for all of eternity. I think you might have made the wrong choice. I think you need to think about that a little longer.. and really stew in that idea.

If you don't believe in him then you do not believe in heaven or hell think about it.You have to believe somewhat to believe your going to hell. I will tell you life is very short, to believe in nothing at all. This world is our test, he expects us to wonder and question but you need to reach inside your self to find out what you believe in. To believe in nothing is to be nothing. I believe in God but I do not try to shove it down others throats I will talk about it when asked or if he is questioned. All I can tell you is no sin is greater than another in the eyes of God a sin is a sin. Find your way because only you know where you want to stand. well if ud rather be in hell than be with Him...then fine u will be. i was being sarcastic okay. cuz thats what u made it sound like. God says no sin is badder than the other. He means...that a lie is not worse than a murder. its equal. we are all equal. so u are equal to a rapist and a murderer. and so am i. as a person...u r not equal, u dont do those things which makes u a good person. but just speaking about people...not a good person or a bad person u r equal to them. they have as much of a chance to go to Heaven as u do. but so do i. their sin is equal to urs. it may not be as bad...but thats only speaking in our own words. but in Gods eyes...no sin is worse than someone elses.

Well let's see here. God gave you life and food and clothing and a place to live and the breathe to tell everyone that you don't believe in Him and to call Him a jerk. Now if I were God, I might take away your air for about 30 to 40 seconds and ask you if you still wanted to tell people that I was a jerk. But then again, I'm not God. He is patient and longsuffering and gracious to ungrateful people not wanting any of them to perish but to repent and turn to Him and receive eternal life with no more pain or sorrow. He sounds pretty cool to me. But take heed because, Jesus said that a person who looked on another person with lust was just like an adulterer and a person who stored up anger in their heart against another person was just like a murderer. and as it is written:

God does not want you to go to hell...he loves you and wants to bless you and be with you forever...but he's not going to make you take the cure...it's up to you to decide.
