No matter what people think, Israel has not been an organized nation since 70 c.e. when she was permanently destroyed records of birth and all by the Roman Army.
She was set apart as a Holy Nation and a People of God, until that time. Then She lost all her birth and family records. That means that She as a nation cannot produce a savior, because she cannot prove He would be from the tribe of Judah or Davids line.
So there is no Nation of Israel in the Mind of God except the SPIRITUAL Israel made up now of both faithful Jews and faithful Gentiles! He does not care about world politics or geography any more!
But, yes these are the last days!

The last time Jesus cleansed the temple in Jerusalem, He said "your house is left unto you desolate" (Luke 13:35). The Jews had rejected their Messiah. After the Sanhedrin stoned Stephen, the gospel went to the gentiles. The Jews as a nation were no longer the chosen people.
God's people are now the temple. "ye are the temple of the living God" (2 Corinthians 6:16) The Bible, 2 Thessalonians 2:4, talks about a system of worship that will deceive God's people. The great battle between Christ and Satan is a battle for the hearts and minds of men.
The end of the world will probably come in our time, not because of what's happening in the nation of Israel, but because of the signs that Jesus gave us to look for, Matthew 24.

The Bible clearly does state to do to try to determine, as Jesus himself said only the father knows the exact date and time. On the other hand, he also states that the end will not come until the described things have come to pass. So, sure, it is a "scary" thought, but it is also a time to be joyful, since as a believer in Christ, we will know that we will be safe when that time comes. So, just keep loving, do the things Jesus says, keep his commandments, and you will be fine. I do feel that, yes, the time is approachin, but as to when, the day, the time, the year, whatever...we do not know...so there is no use guessing. Just live life, be joyful! God bless!

Yes! I believe that the 1948 generation was the generation that Jesus was talking about in Matthew when He said "this generation will not pass away until all these things be fulfilled." I firmly believe that before the last person of that generation dies that the rapture will take place and then the events of Revelation will be ushered in. That is my personal belief.

No. In the Greek when Christ said I will be with you even to the end of the world. Greek translation for world is age or dispensation of time.

To me that is a bit like asking if I think I will die one day.
It's going to happen, we don't know the exact time. Could it be today? Yes Could it be another 1000 years? Yes

It says that no one knows when the end will be. Not even the Son...so to me it's useless to go about guessing. Jesus says we should be watchful...so that's what we need to do.
