I think alot of Christians have this image of Jesus ,as just walking on water ,performing miracles, and speaking in parables concerning the kingdom of God . Many think thats probably all he did . That would make for a very pious Jesus and one who sinners and such wouldnt want to hang out with(and that is who Jesus hung out with and prefered to hang out with). Many Christians nowadays would be more comfortable hanging out with the Pharisiss , then they would with the Jesus of the New Testament. And I'd bet Jesus would feel the same way.

Yes I do believe it is possible. After all according to the christian religion God did create everything so why exclude humor, and passing gas.

Jesus was suuposed to be sinless not walking around with a holier than though attitude. Thats what made Jesus Jesus after all. His humble attitude. I do see your point and can agree that Jesus was prob just another regular guy.

Its a hard concept even to Christians but Jesus truly was 100% God and 100% man yet without a spot of sin when he walked the earth. As a man the bible tells us that He was tempted in all the ways that man has but he never sinned. He was human so I can only imagine that he did laugh, tell jokes, play innocent practical jokes on people, had fun, and loved well like many humans do today. Jesus was a very real man in all his ways who just happened to have the command of millions of heavenly angels and power over all creation if He at any time wanted to free Himself from that Cross!

I think Jesus was a regular guy, as well as being God's Son. The difference is that He never sinned. Other than that, I would venture to guess that because He was human as well as God, He probably burped, laughed when others burped or passed gas and told a joke or two. He came to be relatable to us. He would not have been relatable as a human being if he was so stuffy that He had no sense of humor. He was and is God, yet He was human too. I'm sure He had a sense of humor, same as everyone else. Good question!

yah, you have a point with people might not want to hang out with a pious jesus but you have to think yes he was a man but he was god in the flesh. Yah he was human but to a point i wouldnt go as far as jokes and laughed when someone passed gas, but why do you think he was loving?BECAUSE he smiled and he did a lot of things for other people which is what i call being a normal person

There is a chapter in the Book of Matthew 11:18-19 that says he is a "glutton and a drunkard", a friend of tax collectors and "sinners". Being said that about him, it is possible that he was a man on the street sharing jokes, laughters and other things a regular guy would be doing. Didn't he say he came to heal the sick ? Therefore, the sick in the spirit are the regular guys who are familiar with vices.

All humans have the same traits as God/Jesus. I too wondered in the past did God ever laugh like us humans and he showed me in his word that yes God do laugh as well. It is wonderful when you get to know a savior name Jesus , then you forget about ever wanting to hang out with the pharisees.

i def. think that Jesus told joke, laughed and had a good time yet still being perfect and respectful. And everybody passes gas. I mean, you can't not pass gas, it's impossible to be fully human and not fart or burp.
I think that Jesus did everything a human does except sin.

Jesus had dirty feet, body odor, boogers in his nose, and probably a great sense of humor. He WAS human! I think you're right; even though we should still honor Christ as our Savior and the Son of God, He can still be our close friend.

Yes, God has a sense of humor. I can tell by the way my life is going!
BTW, he called the religious zealots of his day "whitewashed tombs" for being strict and dead inside. So what does that tell you? Jesus likes people who are "keeping it real!"

Of course! He wouldn't have made friends and been popular otherwise.

On the other hand, I doubt that he told the dirty jokes that everybody is full of these days, and biting sarcasm doesn't seem like his style either.
