the past two days there is a robin outside our house that keeps flying into differant windows around our house. he flies to a branch then to the window, back and forth and then does it to a differant window on another side of the house (i assume it's the same robin). he's not totally crashing into them, but is bumping into them - feet first, i think. the only thing i can think of is maybe he sees his reflection and thinks it's a "rival" bird in his territory or competing for a mate. ??????

"certain birds have different meanings robins have to do with babies, so is there anything you can think of as a warning it may be giving you?"

i'm not generally superstitious, but this is freaky! when this bird started doing this we had only had our new baby home for about 10 days. i have no clue what kind of warning it could be giving - but i can't really think of a common sense reason it is doing it either. weird!

Most likely it is the reflection of itself causing it to do this. Also it can be something it sees on the inside that it is trying to get to.Or it is just trying to get inside. One other thing which will cause them to do this is a moth or another type of insect that's on either side of the glass.

what type of birds are they? Did you talk their conduct, major options such as your neighbor? How are you feeding them? from time to time, birds chew because they're unfamiliar with a clean carer. talk with them, clarify what you're doing, that way they'd experience a lot less threatened. each and each and every time I mind-set a chicken that doesn't comprehend me, I keep speaking in a classic, calm voice so that they are going to have it gradual to get used to my presence than I do inspite of I even might want to do (feeding them, replacing their ingesting water, etc). Make no unexpected moves or wave your fingers plenty, that would startle them. be affected individual and stick with it! sturdy good fortune! you're a sturdy neighbor!

It probobly is trying to protect its territory against the other male robin it sees. (its reflection) Either that, or it hates windows.
