Living things are made of, among other things, carbon. So as we grow and live and breathe we store carbon.

Fossil fuels are the result of many many years of living things (such as plants and animals) sitting underground after they die.

When we burn fossil fuels, the carbon that those things were storing is released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide gas.

1) Breathing (We can't help it, it has to take place)
2)Running Automobiles like cars etc.
3)Using Liquified Petroleum Gas ( LPG)
4)Cutting trees (trees absorb CO2, so reduction in their number increases CO2)
5)Burning Fossil Fuels or anything that can burn such as leaves, wood etc.
