First off has this dog been diagnosed with earmites??? Dogs rarely get ear mites so unless actually diagnosed with them he shouldn't be treated for them. OTC products can actually cause a whole lot more trouble then help and I can't imagine any good vet even recommending them especially if a problem hasn't been diagnosed. Dogs do commonly get various types of ear infections..you need to take your dog to the vet and get a correct diagnosis and treatment..NO OTC no self medicating.

You CANNOT use home remedies on serious health issues! Ear mites can only be controlled by ear mite cleanser found at a pet store or vet. People will tell you all sorts of stupid crap to pour into his ears, like oil and vinegar and who knows what else. Your dog's ear is not a salad, put down the home remedies and get real help!

Dont know about stuff you could get at home but the vet can sell you stuff for mites and it does not cost that much.

Dogs don't commonly get ear mites. In order to get proper diagnosis and treatment please take your dog to the vet.

Self medicating can cause serious harm.

Garlic. Too much is poisonous, so you still have to call the vet.
