In the USA each class hour per week is represented by a credit. Most classes are 1 and a half hours twice a week, so that the class is 3 hours a week which is 3 credits. Some times a class will only meet once a week but for 3 hours, thus making it 3 credits. Of course there are 4 credit classes where you spend 4 hours a week, and there are exceptions to the rules. Some classes are only 2 and a half hours a week but they give you 3 credits. Generally you will receive three credits for each class you take. So if you want 90 hours of college credit, you need 30 classes. 30 classes, 3 credits each that is.

Take courses that a U.S. college or university would accept and put towards your degree. For example, a typical college class would be 3 credit hours, so 90 hours of college credit would be 30 classes.
