Matt 27:44 No contradiction That is probably the way it all started of with the two thieves, here there is simply is no mention of the one thief's repentance. You better Read Luke 23:39-42 again. One thief Blasphemes Jesus saying if you are the Christ (Messiah) save yourself and us. Us two thieves along with Christ who was innocent. One of the thieves rebukes the other thief saying, Do you not fear God, SEEING YOU ARE UNDER THE SAME CONDEMNATION, (as me) This man has done nothing wrong. The thief who repented said, Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom. Verse 43 I tell you the truth today you will be with me in paradise. Matt 27:46 God the Father , God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, God the Son is on the cross with the weight of all the worlds sin upon Him, (THAT INCLUDES YOURS AND MINE) One God 3 Persons manifested in His awesome power.Jesus said, My God, My God, why have you forsaken me. That's God the Father and God the spirit. God can not stand to look upon sin and that is why God had to forsake Him..John 10:30 the question is,who is Jesus to you? Read on No man comes unto the Father except through Him. Because our sin ( falling short of Gods standards) we are separated from God. Either Jesus to you is the way to the Father or He is not. Your Choice. Out of all the miracles Jesus did He did nothing to glorify Himself, He only glorified His Father in Heaven.

There is no contradiction. In Luke it says:" Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying,"If you are the Christ, save Yourself and us." (Here he speaks of both). But the other, asnwering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?"
Yes, Matthew speaks of both of them reviling Jesus, but one of them repented and went to Paradise with Jesus. Just because Matthew isn't specific doesn't mean it's a contradiction.

The last two references are also not contradictory. Jesus became a man for a short season. With that He had human limitations and feelings and that's why, when all the sins of humanity were put on Him, He felt forsaken at that moment, because He was suffering as a human being. God has three persons within one, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus and the FAther are one because they are the same in their realm.

It is important to remember that four seperate men wrote the Gospel from memory. Luke interviewed eye witnesses when he wrote his Gospel. All the Gospels contain the truth and were inspired by God and the fact that four men wrote the same story and came so close to being completely the same should prove the Hand of God being involved. Jesus asking God why He was forsaken is not a contradiction. The Trinity is mysterious, at the time of His death, Jesus was temporarily seperate due to His taking on the sin of the world.

**"you people" ? By your cleverly worded come back I am assuming you disagree with my answer. That is o.k., we can agree to disagree on this. However, I am still not sure what you object to in my answer.

Not all details were recorded. The fact that there are some minor differences in details is pretty strong evidence for a lack of collusion, so let's unpack this with logic.

Does the rebuking of the other thief conclusively show that he did not first engage in mockery and then think better of it? In other words, playing the part of defense attorney, is there any other possible explanation for the behavior of the defendant? If so, then you must acquit until you have removed reasonable doubt.

Does the statement of Jesus mean ONLY and ENTIRELY that He and God are the same entity? Is it not possible that He meant that He and the Father were in one accord? When a man and wife marry, they are said to be "one." We don't accuse a man of having sexual relations with himself, do we?

I think you are grasping at straws here. Care to disclose your motives?

There are no contradictions. Each scripture edifies another.

What you can get from these accounts are as follows: at first both thieves on either side of Jesus' cross taunt him, but later, only one as the other one asks Jesus to remember him when he is in paradise. He had a conversion while on the cross.

The other: at the cross Christ's humanity shows when he asks in desperation "Why have you forsaken me?" It was a statement of disappointment. But as you can see later, he was resurrected on the third day, which means God did not forsake him. He and his father are always one: in nature, in spirit, and in every aspect. The so-called godhead, the trinity, consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and they are all one.

Each Gospel was written to explain things to different groups. Their focus was on things that group would understand and identify with. They are not contradictions. The Gospels need to be taken as a whole to see the complete picture.

Consider:
If you were describing a house and it's advantages to different people you would stress different aspects of the house. To a doctor you'd emphasize the proximaty to the hospital and his offices. To a lawyer you'd explain the ease of getting to a court house. To a contractor you'd explain how well it was contructed. To a young family you'd stress the school system, the area safety and the other families in the area. Your descriptions would not contradict each other. They would merely express those things each person was interested in. In all you would explain everything about the house. That's how the Gospels were written.

ahh, yes. i can answer this. both of the men DID taunt Jesus on the cross. the author of the two books wrote with different intentions, which is why you will notice that each author chose to include different things.

Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit ARE one. In Mattew when Jesus asks why God has forsaken him he is actually quoting a popular psalm. Back in those times teachers and rabbis would quote the first few lines of a psalm so that the listeners would go home and look it up. the point of Jesus quoting this psalm was that he was the messiah prophesied in the OT.

It's no wonder so many people are led astray...given that they ASSUME and ASSERT things without researching or ASKING about them first. hmm...

Maybe both taunted Jesus, then one came to believe in Jesus.

Jesus was God, but He was human on the earth. So the flesh could have risen up. But this did fulfill prophecy.

It helps which you let us know you're an Athiest. What all 3 have in uncomplicated is previous writings. And the rationalization for using older vs extra contemporary is to get to what God mentioned, initially. you're suitable that Jesus grow to be a Jew and so Judaism had to have come past. Mohamed got here after Jesus. So all of it began, and it incredibly is further writings to biblical stuff, after Jesus too. subsequently after Christianity. it incredibly is slightly frustrating to describe in case you do not have faith in God, any god, in any respect. because of the fact the whole factor of every physique's version of Scripture is they carry it to be God's phrases to them/mankind. The Mormon's have the Christian version plus books that their founder mentioned have been given to him through an angel from God, and then further revelations their (meant) prophets gained. they could call him an apostle yet an apostle is theory to additionally, consistently, be a prophet too. because of the fact the King James version, surprisingly conventional through Christians and it incredibly is previous testomony through Jews additionally, besides as some in Islam, got here into ebook there have been discovered some older writings than have been used to collect the King James version. what's noted as Canon is the sequence human beings settle for as sturdy observe of God. needless to say, Muslims settle for what got here down through Mohamed, and the Jews do no longer. Judaism (different than for people who declare to be Messianic or Nazarene Judaism) do no longer settle for as Scripture different than however the Jewish Bible, which the Christians calll the previous testomony. Jews have extra to their writings with an entire sequence yet deny they think approximately it as binding as Torah, it incredibly is what's attributed to Moses. regrettably, lots of people who declare to be Christians do precisely the comparable with lots of the distinctive Commentaries, Interpretations, etc. The Jehovah's Witnesses have in simple terms undeniable rewritten the whole Bible. it incredibly is a real stretch because of the fact the unique languages of Torah had no such element because of the fact the J sound in those languages. So the holy very own call of that God could desire to no longer probably have began with a J. no longer while each and every Hebrew student knows of all of it began with a Y. back, it incredibly is why older is larger. it incredibly is in regards to the purity of what grow to be given initially and finding that.
