When my son was sick and the doctor gave up I had no one else to trust but Him and when I lost my job and was unemployed for three years. He's the healer and provider.

You can only trust that God's plan is what is best for your life. You do not trust God to "do anything" or change "things". We were given "free will" (by God) to make the decisions about our life. We have been given a good guide (the Bible), but the bottom line is we have to make good choices based on God's word. People say "why did God let this happen" when there is a catastrophe, etc....the answer is because he gave us free will. If he/she were to interfere, mankind would have no free will. The world would be a whole lot better if he/she did control us, but that's not part of the plan. There are situations when we have to rely on other people that follow the word of God, to help us. But that is the purpose of the church, to lead, strengthen, and be there for our brothers and sister's in their time of struggle, this is what we trust God for, a strong, honest, and faith filled church family.

I learned to trust God when I realized I had no control. All my life I have suffered with a life threatening disease and when you feel like you are dying and there is nothing you can do the only thing you can do is look to God. After while I just come to trust in God even when my life doesn't depend on it. Trusting in God in your everyday life will lead you and guide you in the way that you should go.

I put my faith in God's hands as I was saved and baptized 7 years ago when I bottomed out,my parents had just gotten a divorce the year before and then(as funny as it sounds)my cat I had for 21 years passed away,I started wondering what was going to happen to me and,I had nothing left.Life has not been the same since. There are sill many times I struggle with faith such as my never endless health issues but,to give your problems to God is the best thing to do...HE is our father, and knows what's really best, faith is a hard thing but,in times of trial it is then, that is most important to be strong in God and HIS love...I am alive today because I trusted in God when I gave up on myself,if I had relied on myself,I would have died.....Literally.....

Yea, one of my recent ones was trying to find a job after college. I had interviews but no one ever hired me. (I'm a teacher and it was already August) There was nothing else I could do, I had applied everywhere and was very proactive. I had given it to God, and then I got a call from a random girl I met once saying there was a job opening where her mom worked...I ended up getting the job at the last minute. AND I LOVE where I work and I met my boyfriend and made some great friends! The saying is God is rarely on time but he is never late.

I'm still learning how to trust God. I have a natural tendency to think I can handle everything, and leaning on God is a daily struggle for me. Everyone has their own spiritual shortcomings, and lack of trust is mine.

Many times, just today I was cut off on the freeway and there was no logical reason how I avoided hitting a number of cars I hit the brakes and steered around cars while skidding.. and thought how in the world did I not hit anyone? and thanked the Lord for helping me through that.

yes, i have been in situations like that...its unfortunate that we turn to god in the most desperate of times, yet take him for granted in the good times
