I asked this before, and got suggestions, but we couldn't make either work for us. We're setting this up from out of town and want to avoid banquet situations where we have to do downpayments and give the restaurant a specific number of people coming. We'd rather work with a buffet, or a situation where everyone orders what they want off of a menu, we just happen to be sitting in a private room. Bonus points if they have their own audio/video system (speaker, projector and screen). Thanks!

This is not downtown Chicago, but I really like Baraco's on 95th in between Kedzie and Pulaski. There is a back room with a pull down projection and it is a good size. The pizza is good and so is the other food on the menu. Lots to choose from.
Bourbon Street on 111th and Kedzie has great food and awesome private room with many TVs and a private bar. You can also reserve tables without putting any money down and everyone can order what they want. (Has to be before 7pm or so on the weekends though)
Good Luck!

There's a place called Lone Tree on Milwaukee Ave. It may be in Niles. I believe you can get a private set up, or just tell them if it is a mid-size or smaller group. I don't know about the A/V, but you could find out. I don't know how often they do the buffet style setting, I am pretty sure they have it.
