I'm pretty sure that if you are 5.5" and want to be a size 6, you should not weigh any more than 125 lbs.... you should be able to wear that size and be healthy looking... not anorexic. We all need to set a good example for all the young women out there. Also, you need to exercise to keep your body toned so you can look good in that size 6.

For me (I'm 5'5") it was about 120-132, and a size 8 is 133-145 but we may not be the same build, and it also depends on how your weight is distributed. Don't base your diet plan around achieving a particular dress size. When I got down to 125, EVERYONE said I looked terrible. I'm happy now at 140

That depends a lot on the clothing manufacturer. Some makers "size up" to make women feel good about fitting into a "smaller" size. Clothing size varies a lot, but I would say if you were around 125 lbs you'd easily fit into a size 6.

Oh, good grief. ANOTHER one that's a slave to the numbers. At 5'5" you should weight 130-135 lbs. And everyone is different. One person who weighs 130 at your height might be an 8 while someone else who weighs 140 could be a 6. It depends on the person and where they carry their weight.

Everyone is different, it depends on lots of factors.

It might help to know what your current weight and clothes size/measurements are. Usually losing 5lb-7lb corresponds to an inch of fat loss.
