If you can find a cd of bird noises to play for him, that'll keep him entertained while you're gone. Also- he'll learn some of the noises on the cd and he'll mimic them. (We played canary sounds for our birds and after a while they sang like canaries). Or a mirror. Birds think their reflection is another bird. Get him a couple toys and a mirror, maybe a cd of bird noises, and he'll be fine.
But be prepared, your bird might "bond" with the bird in the mirror. My parakeet always sits next to his mirrors, chirps at them, pecks at them, sings to them, etc. He loves that lil bird in the mirror. But if you spend enough time with him, it'll be fine. If he has a swing, a couple different sized perches,(one sized perch isnt good for their feet) and a few toys (dont over crowd his cage, he needs room to stretch his wings), he'll have plenty of things to do while you're gone.

I truthfully have a budgie and raising him is between the first-type experience of my life. i'm in contact with persons getting Budgies. notwithstanding, i visit admit they'd nicely have the capacity to be vocal birds. My Budgie does this squawking type sound almost each morning round 5 am... almost as good as chirps on the birds exterior. He makes an perfect alarm clock. those birds are very sweet and demand concentration. in case you are able to't cutting-edge a lot concentration on your budgie, i might want to point getting numerous.

Try getting a toy or a few that seem to please the budgie. After school, check on it, take care of it, and spend some time with the budgie and if someone can let them come over to check on your bird at least once a day. Hope I helped!

I think the best way forward is to buy loads of toys including a mirror. My cockateil has a mirror and she cant stop talking to herself. It keeps them entertained for hours thinking dat they have a freind to talk to, and its always there when the bird is!!
Note: dont buy to many toys birds feel scared if they cant move around as much, dependent on the size of the cage, dont over fill the cage, and vary the toys so it wont get bored off the same one.
