It's a 2000 model. Never been a problem before. The little green light in the switch stays on too. However, they do switch off when the ignition is turned off.

It's a 2000 model. Lights are usually on the switch. Now, the switch will not turn them off. They only turn off when the ignition is switched off. This was never a problem before......Can these cars have service memories?

There all right it's day time running light's,,, But if you don't like it I'm pleased to inform you any Volvo dealership can change the settings in the central electronic module using the diagnostic tool "Vida",If you have the switch set to zero and you pull back the main beam on the indicator stalk it will only flash for as long as you hold it, but with the switch is on when you pull back the stalk the main beam will switch on and stay that way until you switch them off again,, Its a nice safety feature id leave it on, Good luck

The green light means that you have daytime running lights activated. Some cars are configured with a switch so you can turn them off, some are not. As long as they are off when the ignition is off, there isn't a problem. Daytime running lights are a valuable safety feature on any car.

The problem isn't actually a problem. Your car has daytime running lights. They will stay on wether the switch is in the 12:00 position or the 9:00 position. The lights will only shut off once the vehicle is shut off. Sorry.

Check the parking lights switch. Look in your manual. It sounds like day time running lights. What state/country are yiu in and where did the car come from?

Are they on a timer? Do they go off after 90 seconds or so? If not you may have a bad electronic board and will have to go to a dealer and get it fixed. Good luck
